Unprofessional is probably the kindest word I can use to describe Lone Star Kayaks. My fiancé spoke with them about a kayak they posted on craigslist, told them he wanted to buy it, and set out this morning, cash in hand, to do so. After driving to south Austin, waiting 45 minutes for them to show and speaking with them several times over the phone they arrived and announced that they ‘changed their minds’ about selling the kayak he had asked to purchase. They then proceeded to try to sell him other kayaks that were hundreds of dollars more expensive. This bait and switch tactic is extremely shady and entirely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them to anyone.
