Mike has been servicing my neighborhood for over 15 years and everyone keeps calling him a very good reason. I have had him our to service my very old units several times then to replace them both at different times and I could not be more pleased with his service. He has come out on a couple emergency calls within hours and does not stick it to you with a bunch of «emergency» fees. He only does what you need, giving you options, and doesn’t try to oversell you like the corporate guys do.
I am having him out to do a water heater this month so I’m putting my money on this review.
The reason there are several reviews at once is someone on the neighborhood forum noted that Mike doesn’t have many reviews on Unilocal yet so those who have hired him are coming to give their reviews.

Mike Lucky is the real thing. He will only fix what is needed, give you solid advice about what you need and never overcharge you.
When I replaced my AC, I saved almost 45% off of what other guys were asking for.
When I replaced the hot water heater his charge was 55% lower than the more reputed company in town. And both times he did a real professional job.
I always let him decide what kind of equipment I need.

Yesterday, 2pm, Friday 9 September 2013: our A/​C fails.
I work at home, plus the kids and our dog were home, and the temperature outside was 100 °F and rising. Inside it was 89 °F and rising.
I called Mike Lucky at Lonestar Air Conditioning & Heating. I left him a message. He got back to me in 20 minutes, was at the house an hour after that, spent two hours tracking down the problem, fixed it — and charged me (literally) less than half of what I was expecting to pay him. To be honest, I feel kinda guilty about it. Maybe I can ask my wife to bake him a cake.
Is Mike Lucky the best A/​C guy in Austin? Yes, he is. We’ve known and trusted Mike for over a decade, and he’s never let us down. If you’ve ever had your A/​C go out on a sweltering Austin Friday afternoon, you’ll understand why I give him 5 stars.

Best AC/​Heat guy in the city of Austin. He is a one man operation & is honest & dependable. He’s been doing work for me for 12 years & I wouldn’t use anyone else. I will leave a key for him to go into my house while I’m at work & know I have nothing to worry about. Not only is he a very nice guy, dependable, & honest, but he’s right on & usually has the best price for the work. I highly recommend Mike Lucky.
