Dr. Levy was a great doctor but he left the practice in October 2015. I called South Austin Clinic to schedule an apt and they said he was no longer there, not taking his patients with him and is now working in a more private setting. I was upset because we(my husband went to him as well) were never notified that he was leaving. He has been my husband’s MD for over 5 years and nothing. They said that he sent messages to all his current patients via the patient portal. I logged in and there was no notification. Very disappointed.

My husband is a patient here under my insurance and our interactions had been without complaint until we had a question and wanted to talk directly to the Doctor. I have talked to the ladies in the office 3 times, each time requesting to directly talk to the Doctor and still to this day haven’t received a call back from Dr. Levy(3 weeks now). We don’t go to the doctor’s unless we have to, which falls under the category of blood pressure medications. My husband is required by «the doctor» to come every 6 months for a reassessment even though he has been on the same blood pressure medications for 5 years without any changes. We don’t have a problem coming in for a check up, but over $ 200 annually for the Doctor to come in, spend 5 minutes checking a blood pressure reading and saying to continue on the same medication seems pretty steep, and that’s with insurance. Blame the insurance… I tried that. They said it was how«the doctor bills the claim, talk directly to the doctor. He can bill it either way(office visit or routine visit). » So, that’s what I am trying to do, talk to the Doctor.
