Lammes Candies has Austin written all over it. There are the seasonal and untouchable chocolate covered strawberries. I am a huge Godiva fan, and theirs pale in comparison. Then you have a whole candy store of chocolates and something my family grew up on; Lammes’s peppermint chews. My 4 year old nephew is starting to love them too.

Chocolate Covered Grapes… It sounds weird, but isn’t that what Austin is all about? Lammes could chocolate cover paper and it would somehow taste like a brilliant breakthrough… The Longhorns, Pecans, really, anything dipped in the chocolate is so money… MMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Any fruit dipped in chocolate, too is going to be a thing of beauty… American Beauty! :)

Truly I hate you as I have no self control over your chewy pecan pralines. Longhorns are not too shabby either. I like to pair said praline with a Shiner bock for a delicious desert course.

While shopping at the Barton Creek Square, I had to stop at Lammes Candies. I stocked up on several pounds of «Texas Chewie» Pecan Pralines(very chewy, sticky and sweet nougat with pecans) and Longhorns(caramel & pecans in milk chocolate) for myself and my friends back home in the northeast. Those«Texas Chewies» are sooo good!!! My friends back home were overjoyed and we finished the candies very quickly.
