Johanna is a platinum MASTER! Anyone who has blonde hair knows that it’s tough to find someone who can make your hair (esp platinum) look flawless. …Johanna is that someone. Since moving to Austin three years ago, I’ve been in colorist limbo… no one could give me what I wanted! I’d seen several gorgeous platinum ladies that Johanna had worked on and decided to give her a whirl. I am SO HAPPY that I did. My hair has never looked more beautiful. She is so sweet, professional, and made me feel like she truly cares about me and my hair. The salon is super comfortable and they carry Oribe! Please, please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and book with Johanna. You will love her! xo

I never color my hair anywhere else!
Johanna knows exactly what color looks good with my hair cut and skin tone. I always tell her to do what she thinks will look good and she always does an amazing job. I have some natural red tones in my hair that I don’t always like and she knows how to mix the perfect color to take the red out. If you’ve got the same problem and just want the red tone out to make way for just a straight brown or blonde, Johanna can do that for you. I am always very pleased with the outcome of my color and highlights.

I have been meaning to go to Johanna Esper for my color. Since I had heard about her from Charlotte Belle, (her salon mate). I even had the honor to do her makeup for a photoshoot. Little did I know, seeing Johanna would be LIFE CHANGING!
Not only does she listen but she makes you feel important to her. The color services I got from Johanna were IMMACULATE!!! I am so glad I finally got into her. And now know who I will only book with, from now on! THANK YOU JOHANNA!

I couldn’t be happier with Johanna! She does a beautiful job with my hair EVERY TIME. She has reasonable rates and does excellent work. Johanna never rushes through my appointment. If I know what I want she does it and if I do not know what I want she makes suggestions, never pushy though! I think she is great at what she does and she is a wonderful person as well, completely genuine. What’s not to love?
Oh, the first time I came to her she didn’t criticize my former stylist’ work. She is truly professional.

I lucked into working with Johanna a few years ago when my hair fried to a crisp (long story). She painstakingly worked with me for more than a year to get it back to a healthy, pretty state again. Needless to say, I will follow her anywhere and I have. She has her own salon now and has a long and distinguished client base. She has an innate ability to know what your hair needs from color to cut to hair therapy. Two words: Johanna Rocks.

Johanna is the best! I’ve followed her to 3 different salons now, but I think she’s at the new place to stay. I have very short curly hair, which Johanna takes down to platinum for me every month. I’ve never had a better colorist, and for all my hair is put through with monthly bleaching, it’s surprisingly healthy.
Plus, the house she’s in is adorable. There are two hairdressers, a vintage clothing shop, and a wig shop. There’s certainly plenty to do while you’re waiting for your appointment.
