After 70 yrs in business, we will be closing our doors on August 26, 2015. We have lost of reclaimed doors, screen doors, tin roofing and tin siding, and lots of reclaimed lumber.

I found replacement siding for my 1938 bungalow here. This stuff is hard to find, but Home Lumber knew exactly what I was looking for and had some in stock.
I agree with the other reviewers in that this is a hidden little hardware gem of Austin. I also think Paul R’s review of the owner having «that old cranky attitude with lots of love packed into it» is spot-​on!
Just don’t try to pay with credit card, and don’t expect to shop on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday.

This is a great place to visit anda great resource. If you need good stuff for old homes — this is one of the few places that carries many of the specialty items you need. Not gonna find old fashioned tin ceilings etc at Home Depot or Lowes.
The owner, Frank is a pretty neat dude too. Grew up here in Austin, pretty old. Has that old cranky attitude with lots of love packed into it.
