If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We went here trying to go get a room only for them to tell us they are sold out. But they apparently had a room available. The staff was very rude as well. I would never come here ever again. #bitchassness

I like this place for kareoke because it allows you to bring your own drinks. The music selection is a lot broader than other places. The staff is polite. I feel that this is a place I can depend on when I feel like singing. Definitely give this place a try if yo haven’t already. Private rooms.

This is a solid karaōke place. They do not have many recent songs and are missing some more popular karaōke songs. And like most places, they play videos of random nature scenes instead of the actual music videos. We had no problems with the system/remote. They did turn off our system at about 3 minutes before our time was up, so we didn’t get to play our last song. I guess Britney Spears — Toxic will just have to wait. Wireless mic. Rooms were clean and they provided one maraca and one tamborine so we could jam. It’s also BYOB(they didn’t card us).

Always an amazing time here. Employees are so nice and accommodating. They take and cancel reservations for me with short notice all the time and are happy to provide me with instructions for the remote control whenever I need. They definitely make me want want to come back every time I feel like doing some karaōke with friends. Can’t wait until my next visit. :) BYOB and food.

love this place, after living in korea we really fell in love with karaōke rooms and this one is so authentic. what’s even better is that it is BYOB and food so, if you have a fun group of people grab some beer and you can hang out here all night. lots of fun!!!

This place is the bomb. I went there for the first time with my boyfriend and cousin. They had so many songs, the lights in the rooms were funky and great, the sound system loud, but not too loud, and it was just super fun! If you split the cost it isn’t too expensive either

I was so impressed I had to write a review. — The room was super clean — The whole place smelled like a spa — There’s an ENGLISHREMOTE(Yay!) — Tambourines and maracas in the room — The song list is pretty good and has more recent songs(not as good of a selection as The Highball or The Common Interest, but way better than Austin Karaōke — still, I’ll take fewer songs if it means I can watch mismatched Korean or nature videos in the background rather than the 8-bit blue screens of the American? karaōke companies) — Wireless mics with mic covers — The staff was excellent This is definitely the best private room karaōke place I’ve been to in Austin so far. The only way I could imagine this being any more perfect is if the system were as high-tech and song list as extensive as what you find in Japan(but, you can’t have everything). :-)

It was a Friday night and we didn’t want to go to 6th, so we decided to give this place a try. We called at 10 to see about rates and alcohol policy. $ 20/hour for the small room PLUSBYOB, so it was a win-win. Called Über, and arrived at about 10:30. The guy at the front said they were completely booked and won’t have a room until 11:45(wish they would have told us that over the phone before the 20 minute/$ 40 Über drive there). Because we didn’t want to have to spend more money on the ride back to the hotel, we decided to wait. Luckily, a room cleared out after waiting for 10 minutes. For 6 people, 2 hours, BYOB, free chips, and soft drinks, we only had to pay $ 53, sooooo worth it! Definitely will be back if I’m in town.

First time at a karaōke establishment and boy was I blown away. Customer service was A+ and the cleanliness was great. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to fit our party in with no issue. The rooms are really great and sound system/screens where top notch. Wireless MICs made dancing a breeze ;) Will be coming back very soon!

I want to give this place 5 stars. It was great! The only thing that is a bummer is the song list. It just isn’t very extensive. A friend and I went and had a blast, but we got through the entire book of songs. We want to go back, but we already did the songs from the list we really liked. We’re going again on Saturday with more people, but I don’t see how we can go again after that if we just have to do the same songs again. I’ve been to dive bars that have 10 times the amount of songs as this place. The rooms are great, we brought our own booze and the price is right. PLEASEADDMORESONGS!!!

Hi Tunes Karaōke is one of the most fun places in Austin. It’s what Asian-style karaōke should be — belting out songs in private rooms, BYOB optional. The rooms are clean, service is attentive and everyone is having fun. Even the front desk starts you off on a great foot: Cheerful screens show slideshows of alluring Korean pop stars, and a big bowl of candy invites you to take some without even asking. You’ll be led to your individual room with ample seating. And it’s BYOB. You’re charged for the room by the hour which isn’t too expensive if you bring along a few friends. Everyone, young and old, loves a good round of karaōke, especially when you don’t have to sing in front of the entire bar. Make sure you book your karaōke night in advance, up to 24 hours is recommended. You might not be able to make a same-day reservation on Friday or Saturday because this place is popular! Call to make a reservation, not email or any other method. Some tips: They have songs in English, Korean, and many other languages too. There are two remotes that let you enter your song picks. One is Korean, the other is English. You can search the song database by title or artist so don’t give up if you can’t find that song you are looking for in the big book! The English song selection is not as good as an American karaōke bar, but it’s more than big enough. There is an applause button on the remote for those worthy performances! And the scores after each song are just for fun! If you’ve never tried Asian karaōke before, pack up some of your favorite beverages and head over to Hi Tunes Karaōke!

BESTKARAOKEPLACEEVER! We got one of the bigger rooms for about 15 people. We did a surprise birthday party and it was the best time! The privacy is awesome… your friends can walk in at random times if no one makes it right on time. The place is BYOB… which is was the best part. Everyone brought their liquor and beer… by the end of the night everyone was on the mic singing a song. They have all your regular songs and a lot of mainstream music thats on the radio. It seemed like the list is updated weekly. The prices are very reasonable once you’re able to split it with your group. If there’s something I would do different next time is definitely bring snacks, cups, papertowels and more alcohol. if you have never done karaōke and scared to do it in public. GOHEREWITHYOURFRIENDS. I gurantee we will be back for more surprise karaōke!

I prefer austin karoke. the staff was friendly and yes it was byob. They were helpful and nice, but that is not what i am looking for in a karoke place. We got a nice updated room from the day before so we had to figure out the remotes. I know they had a binder full of new music. I lliked doing new york, new york but karoke place does not have margaritaville or friends in low places? Those are perfect karoke songs. As I don’t drive I prefer the other neighborhood as people don’t harrass me there. The postive thing is that they asked if we wanted to extend our karoke time as there was people behind us, but they put the people there first.

So I love this place! I’ve been a few times with groups from about 4 people to groups of 8 and we have had a blast every time. I love the private rooms and the props and the control that you have. I love that it is BYOB so it ends up being super affordable even if you stay for hours. This place is clean and they have really nice restrooms. Their music selection is OK. Don’t get me wrong, they have a ton of music to choose from but it isn’t as extensive as some other places. However, pretty much everyone can find a song they want to sing to out of what they have.

SINGYOURHEARTOUTAUSTINTEXAS! Hi Tunes Karaōke, or how my friends and I refer to it as «noraebang,» song room in Korean, has been our go to place to celebrate our birthdays, half birthdays, and quarter birthdays! We go quite often. With a BYOB(and BYOfood) situation going on, it’s definitely a place to belt out some fun — no matter the reason. The rooms are clean, as well as the bathrooms. Nothing to complain about the service. They also sell drinks there if you’re a bit parched. There is also a free candy bowl to take advantage of. I personally grab the little hershey chocolates, but they have tiny lollipops. Make sure to call to reserve a room though, in advance. They’re oftentimes booked for the night, and a walk-in would unfortunately not work.

Very clean &BYOB/BYOFood. Plenty of parking in the awkwardly-located strip mall. If you’re having trouble finding it, look for the El Nuevo Mexico restaurant nearby. Loved the clean rooms & really friendly service & reasonable rates. Microphone cover is a plus. If you don’t know how it works, don’t worry– someone will explain everything to you(including the complicated remote control). They have English & Asian songs in an easy-to-navigate binder. Didn’t like the cleaning-solution smell when I walked in, but probably better than smelling funk or smoke– so really, that’s not a complaint. :D

This is the only place you should go in Austin for karaōke. The staff is amazing and friendly and willing to work with you, whatever situation you have. They open until ridiculous hours(sometimes hours later than their listed closing time). The song roster is always very updated. The sound system sounds good. It’s clean, you can byob, and you can even order ramen. Seriously, what else do you need for a good night? Definitely come!

Han [into karaōke remote]: No, I don’t have a landing permit. I’m trying to reach Lando. Lando Calrissian. Leia: I thought you knew how to use that thing? Try this one, it’s in English. Han: Oh. Right. [Leia hands the English karaōke remote to Han]. Chewie: RAAAARRWR. Han: Oh come on, even the Empire loves Queen. These rooms are all right, too, although I think the soundproofing could use some jazzing up. Leia: Can I have a beer? And why are you talking into the remote again? This strip mall parking lot is free. Threepio: It’s BYOB here, Princess. I believe there are some in the cooler on the Falcon, but Chewbacca refused to bring it in here. Chewie: MRARRWWARRG. Threepio: No, I will not be quiet Chewbacca. I will turn on this disco ball, however. Leia [sighs]: Vader wants us all dead. Han grins and starts singing«Bohemian Rhapsody.» Leia: You certainly have a way with people.
