The staff at this HEB pharmacy are pretty helpful. To have the best possible experience, I would recommend that you use their automated system to know that your prescription is ready to go before you arrive. You will need to call ahead and get your prescription number if you haven’t filled one there before that visit. They’ve always been very helpful in getting the prescription routed to the correct pharmacy(there are so many HEBs in the Doc’s computer system that the RX inevitably ends up Buda). They give good explanations, and they are more than happy to discuss pricing and generic options. My only gripe is that I wish they had a drive-through, but that’s not physically possible in this shopping center — so I suppose it’s more of a wish than a gripe. Since this is one of the better HEB groceries, it is convenient to grab what you need for the next few days and the pills all in one go.

Slightly picked over selection of OTC eye drops and allergy meds.(But it is springtime in Central Texas.) However, the pharmacist was knowledgeable and went out of her way to help me select eye drops that would provide me some relief from allergy season.

The pharmacists and most of the technicians do a good job. The trainees are a problem. You spend a good couple of minutes arguing with them before they ‘decide’ to do something – aka their experienced supervisors glanced over and saw the trouble which they were causing.

The redeeming quality to this otherwise very blah HEB. Staff in the pharmacy are always extremely helpful.

If you have a problem with a doctor or insurance company they will work their behinds off to try to get it fixed for you. Most places would say, sorry, your problem. They always remember my name when I show up at the counter and pull my order as I walk up. Maybe I take too many meds and am in there too often.
