There are two ways to reap the rewards of Gravy: 1. Get a half-order of Deep South with its kick-ass sausage gravy, go for a fried egg on top, and use a spoon to slop it like a Boss. 2. Get a half-order of Deep South with its kick-ass sausage gravy, and then go ahead and paste it directly to your ass. That’s where it’s gonna wind up anyway. Chef Scott is indeed a cool guy, we talked about why this Mueller food park is better than South 1st, and the pros & cons of him being here at 5am to start baking biscuits. So he can open at 7. Personally, I like my biscuits lighter & flakier, and I’m curious now about his new low-carb low-gluten experimental«Healthy Start» sandwich. That’s what I’ll get the next time I’m here. As soon as the stuff I’m eating goes where it goes.

Scott is a stand up guy and has got a great thing going here. If biscuits and gravy are your jam, then this could easily be 5 star territory for you. I enjoy them every now and when in the mood, I’ll be coming here. He makes most if not everything from scratch in house and I love that. I wasn’t too hungry when I came here so I went with a half order of Get Your Lard On! It has the biscuits covered with pulled pork(which he smokes himself) fried eggs and is then covered in his«Deep South» gravy. It’s then finished off with bacon crumbles. I added jalapeños on top and a side of hash browns. Even the half order was pretty darn filling. He has a number of other assemblies and gravies to choose from. The area surrounding the trailer is open and has a good amount of seating that is fairly shaded. When you’re craving biscuits and gravy, this is an excellent option.

This place is amazing! Nothing but good ol’ breakfast classics cooked just right and for a great price. I’m gluten free and they were incredibly accommodating! Definitely will be going back(probably every weekend)!

We ordered the deep south, a side of bacon, side of fully loaded hash browns and 2 eggs over medium. Everything was prepared well, the loaded hash browns and eggs were heavenly! We felt like the pork cream gravy was a little on the sweet side for our liking. I definitely recommend this place!

I live over by Biscuits and Groovy and I always thought it was a great idea but I was disappointed that they really don’t make anything from scratch there. I spoke with the owner and found they purchase pretty much everything from sysco which is a turn off for me. After talking to him for a while I also figured out he doesn’t really have a passion for B&G. He started selling breakfast food and noticed«B&G sells the most» so may as well just focus on it and drop the rest he once told me. After that conversation I never went back to Groovy but I always thought that someone with a passion for high quality food(non-sysco) would really crush it if they came into the area… And after a short wait… gravy popped up on the Unilocal radar so I dropped by to check them out. Damn glad I did. From the moment I walked up you could tell the owner takes a lot of pride in what they are selling. I tried the ‘get your lard on’ with a side of hash browns about a week ago and it’s been on my mind ever since. I’m sure I’ll be back over there sooner rather than later to try some other items. Excellent addition to ATX food truck scene — I just wish they were closer.

Gravy is incredible! My husband and I are from the south and these are the best biscuits and gravy we’ve ever had! They’re filling without leaving you feeling gross… The breakfast sandwich is also amazing! The biscuit was light and airy while the eggs were peppery and perfect!

Although other reviewers loved this, I’m really disappointed. Biscuits aren’t homemade, ice tea tastes like the powdered kind, hash browns are the frozen kind, and the gravy is gluey and stringy, with so much cayenne added that it was in edible. I really hoped I’d found a great breakfast truck, but sadly this isn’t it.

I can’t say enough about this place. It’s a food truck that gets it so, so right. Thick, cake-like biscuits made from scratch smothered in either bacon or sausage gravy, rich and seasoned and creamy. You can add hashbrowns or eggs or cheese to amp it up. They also have breakfast sandwiches or breakfast plates. The man working there was extremely friendly, explained the menu and made warm small talk with me while I dealt with him. He keeps the picnic tables in front of their truck very clean and sanitized too. Will absolutely be back— some of the best sausage gravy I’ve ever tasted.

Unbelievable scratch biscuits. And the folks who run it are sweet! This is the best sausage gravy I think I’ve ever had. Been a few times, never a disappointment.

Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Plus you can add hashbrowns and eggs on the side. Gravy has sausage meat mixed into it, pretty delicious.

It’s food. It’s a decent biscuit. It’s good gravy, which is slightly sweet. I prefer a more savory gravy. Good breakfast place, but not after.

Walked here from our rental house after a late night out drinking with the girls and boy were we satisfied! They had just opened so there was no wait and the owner was friendly, explaining the menu to us, etc. I had the Deep South and«made it even better» by adding a fried egg, and hash browns with the fixins. Amazing gravy, the hashbrowns were crispy and hot, melting the cheese he put on top, the egg cooked to a perfect over-medium and the caramelized onions on top just might have been my favorite part. The biscuits were a little more dense than I normally like/am used to but they soaked up a ton of gravy and really hit the spot. Would definitely come back if I’m ever in the area.

This place! Got the biscuits and gravy. The best sausage gravy I have ever had, hands down. The spices in the gravy were on point. The service was quick and the people were friendly. No line either! I would definitely come back!

Solid 4 stars. I have had several items brought to me by others who came here, but this was my first time I have been able to eat the food immediately. It was a rainy day and I had to also listen to a phonecon, so I ordered a Deep South. I jumped into the car and put some of my emergency hot sauce on it and it was a perfect combination. The biscuit is quite different(at least to me), more of a po-folks kind, which I found quite good. Due to this difference, I am not going to even attempt to make comparisons to other places. The gentleman running the trailer was extremely pleasant and the place was clean. I also was the first customer of the day as I arrived just as he opened. There is a hash brown dish here that is awesome, but it is impossible to eat two of these meals. The cost seems a bit higher, but that is of course due to the outrageous lease costs of the area and of course the quality of the food. Will I be back. Absolutely. Not only is this a good place for breakfast for a student to last the day, but also for having lunch and then sleeping the rest of the day at work.

A friend of mine had a buy one get one free deal so I tried the Deep South and she tried the Midwesterner. We even joked how(I) the Midwesterner got the Deep South and the Southerner(her) got the Midwesterner. While the flavor was delicious, I have to say I was a little underwhelmed on the size and appearance. If we had received two biscuits instead of one I probably would’ve seen the value a little more. I wish I had gotten a photo but my phone died. There were a lot of other menu items and add ons to the biscuits so that’s probably the route we should’ve taken instead of just our bogo biscuits. One biscuit is just not enough! The two running the truck were super sweet and nice though.

This was the absolute best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in a very very long time. The entire experience was wholesome. The people are great, very friendly and kind. The food was savory and delicious. We had the GYLO and the Midwestern, added loaded hash browns and fried eggs with coffee. To be honest I thought the coffee might not be that great at a food truck but it was! This food just makes you feel loved. You can tell the people creating it care. We started not to come because of the less than attractive images posted on Unilocal but decided to try it and are definitely more than happy we did. We will definitely back!!!

I ordered the half order of the Get Your Lard On and it was magnificent. Egg was runny, gravy and pork were flavorful, and the biscuit was fluffy. I took one bite and my mouth was having a dance party of deliciousness. Their hash browns are good too! The only downside to my visit was eating it outside in the Austin heat on a Saturday morning.

Yes yes yes yes! Mhmmm! Austin has a brunch addiction which means the costs are soaring and the lines are over an hour wait. When I am hungry. I want to eat. Gravy– the trailer– cures my famish in a short time and a killer price! No line at all when I came, and my food was ready in 5 mins. I ordered the Deep South which is good ol biscuit and gravy with a side of loaded hash browns. I want to lick the gravy off my basket. It’s pretty savory. I prefer a more airy biscuit, but it was still hitting the spot. Now let’s talk hash browns. Oh my lanta. Probably the best I have ever had. It would be dangerous for this place to be open at night because this would be my go to drunk food choice. Flavored so well. And the sautéed onions really make it complete. This is one trailer you need to stop by at!

Wow, I’m an asshole. Everyone seems to love Gravy. I personally give them 2 stars, but my co-diner raved about her food. Gravy is participating in the 2015 Austin Passbook in which you BOGO. The Passbook states buy a biscuit and gravy item get another, but the owners kindly let us pick the second item. If the second item you choose equals more than $ 6 then they just give you a $ 6 discount and you pay the difference. I ordered the Mid-Westerner gravy and biscuits with a side of hash browns and she got the Tradisional biscuit sandwich. My hash browns were delicious, but my bicuits and gravy came out cold. So cold that they were inedible. It was a mess. Her sandwich was piping hot and she loved it. The ONLY reason I would give them another shot is because they are a local Mom & Pop truck and I feel bad writing them off.
