Golden Nails & Facial

Just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try the local nail salon. I mainly go to nail salons for pedicures so that is what this review is based on. The spa pedicure is basic, but nice and at such a great price — $ 22!!! It includes a leg massage and warm towel treatment. The staff was friendly and the chairs were very comfortable. The shop itself is not the fanciest, but hard to beat the price and convenience. For my everyday pedicures I will come back Golden Nails.

The lady did an Alright job on my nails but by now my nails are all chipped also it was my first time getting a manicure and i told the lady that but she seemed frustrated cuz i kept giving her the wrong hand lol. I guess she wasn’t gonna take it easy on the first timer! Made me feel a little uncomfortable they’re nice and friendly except for that but i wouldn’t go back i still needed a pedicure what a shame!

I do like the way my nails are done and the excellent attention to detail they dedicate each time I come in.
The reason I did not give them the two extra stars is because I did not feel «comfortable» or «welcomed». I don’t like that they often talk in Vietnamese and look at you and chuckle, it may be nothing but I find that very unprofessional especially if your client does not speak the language you are speaking. I would never speak Spanish in front of one of my clients if they did not speak Spanish.
I have been there three times in the past month and find it difficult to return; It’s just not very welcoming.
Other than the uncomfortable environment (just my opinion) they do a great job on nails.

I’m so silly… i went to try somewhere other than golden nails today and it was the worst experience.
I now have to go to golden nails to reverse the mistakes of Pronails on Brodie.
I will never stray again.
Seriously, they offer the whole spa experience with great nails that last! They obviously like what they do and are professional and friendly.
they buff, file, cut, scrub, hot towel, massage (awesome), and polish very well… for $ 25!!!

In 2007 when moving back home to Austin, TX, I was searching for a nice pedi-​home and stumbled across this small business.
I’ve been returning to Tammy, otherwise known as «T», ever since. She’s the owner, and not just for the reason, but they have all been very sweet, always remembering who I am by name; And if you’re a salon girl, you know this is always appreciated.
I brought one of my close girlfriends with me in 2009, and she as well has enjoyed revisiting the Technicians at Golden Nails. Our ritual includes us both enjoying a good Starb’s from next door while getting a well-​deserved pedi.
I have no plans of moving from Austin any time soon. Faithfully their client, I will always return here.
