They like to close 30 minutes before their advertised hours finish. I’m entirely unpleased with my experience here.

Golden Chick is on point! We taste-tested Gus’s fried Chicken and Golden Chick… and Golden Chick won. If this sounds crazy, it’s because it is. I love their current 3 tender special. Just be sure to check your drink before you leave — They never get my unsweet tea right :(

The review says it. I’m a tender man myself and I don’t apologize to any chicken for being so. The wife and I popped in to grab a small meal. Now I have eaten at this location either there or taking it home I’d say 7 times. It’s small as most of them are and service isn’t on super status. Tonight I have no clue what was up. We got 2 tender meals and you’d have thought I ordered for 20. Now I realize we had 2 people ahead of us plus drive thru. However the young lady on the dine in register was catching hell I guess. I’m looking at fresh tenders piled high and still fifteen minutes to get our food. In addition I being the mental juggernaut I am went back and got 2 rolls and honey mustard sauce for my Wife. I had to make two separate orders for that. The rolls were 4 feet off the register and honey mustard sauce about two feet. No lie about 15 minutes before I got them. You mean putting two raggedy ass rolls and 2 containers of dipping sauce is that taxing to provide. You who say I’m ranting know that I stood in cramped quarters waiting patiently. It wasn’t until a lady saw me and pity came upon her to let me get back to the register for my Wife dipping sauce. I saw the young lady helping who she wanted. A young guy cut and asked for a carry out box. She stopped taking orders, made his box gave it to him. Guess what my sauce and rolls would have taken the same amount of time. Oh well you get what you pay for and pay for what you get. I’m good next time I will just eat chips from Walgreens.

Golden Chick let’s face it, your spicy chicken strips are the same as the regular strips but, you half sprinkle some spicy seasoning on the outside of them. For a chicken place, this is pretty weak! Also, your mashed potatoes and gravy are slipping because this time when I had them, they were old, cold and not flavorful which is pretty much how I would describe the gravy too! The barbeque sauce is actually pretty good so, there is a highlight!

Good chicken strips but when you go even 30 minutes before closing they already have the lights off outside and will tell you they are closed in the drive thru. The sign will say open and will tell you the closing hours but they simply don’t care and want to go home.

We were at Golden Chick on Airport last night and they said it would be a 15, then 20, no wait a 25 min wait on macaroni n cheese! What?! I cook macaroni at home in 15 mins max. WTX. I won’t go to that location again. We placed a $ 30 order n eat there often. The manager was telling the cashier what to tell us like we couldn’t hear her or see her… Umm you can talk directly to me! Ugh sure did cancel my order n tell them to have a good night.

I’ve always loved golden chick. Chicken tenders here are always awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever had better tenders. Normally when I think of tenders, I think of dry, cardboard tasting pieces of chicken flesh. Not these babies. They’re always light, fluffy, moist, and absolutely delicious. The combination of tenders, fries, yeast roll, and gravy will get me every time. Beware — even the smallest 4 tender meal is a lot. It will certainly fill you up. And don’t forget to ask for their zing spice packets! Mix into your gravy, and dip everything in it. You won’t regret it.

I had an eye-opening experience on the Fourth of July. A revelation. No, not that kind. This one involved fried chicken strips. I have eaten my full share over the years, some better than others. But none like the ones I tasted yesterday, at a picnic by the pool. These were Chicken Strips with capital letters… generously sized, fresh out of the fryer, tender and full of flavour with a nice crisp coating… possibly the best ones ever. Where did all this goodness come from? An upscale restaurant? A local hotspot? Grandma’s kitchen? Actually, no. It originated from the fast food kitchen of Golden Chick. It surprised the heck out of me. And made me an instant fan. The sweet yeast rolls were tasty, too.

I came here for lunch after reading the warnings on Unilocal.Location was good. I ordered a two piece breast and wing combo. Service was very fast. The chicken was greasy and had a bland taste. The skin was a bit salty and the actual meat was rubbery and tasteless. It was similar to the chicken at Church’s but I think theirs was a shade tastier. The fries were salty and not that great. The best thing in my opinion was the yeast roll. It was soft, fluffy, shiny and very delicious. This place was an okay try for me, but I won’t be coming back. Even the roll couldn’t save this clucker.
