This boutique is absolutely awful and the owner, Bijoulea Finney is completely unprofessional and rude. I will never purchase anything else from this store just because of the way the store owner treated me. I was absolutely shocked by her poor manner towards me for literally no reason at all, perhaps she was in a «bad mood.» Also, the little dress I purchased from here did not make it through the wash. It was made of extremely cheap material as was everything else in the store. The whole place is just weird all together. I will not return.

I love the unique, edgy-yet-elegant look that Golden Bones offers. Their owners are wonderful and always help me pick out the perfect outfit. I would especially recommend this boutique for anyone wanting the perfect festival look or outfit for a party.

Making customers feel uncomfortable for the way they look is NEVER ok! I will not support a business who only spreads hate and I urge others to do the same!

Horrible merchandise and plus size hater. That’s all there is to say.

I have been going to Barbara for the past year now. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life! She is the best in Austin(and surrounding areas, for that matter!!!). Great ambiance(don’t get that at those crappy chains in the mall), and products, as well(I recommend 7 seconds by Unite… my hair is so shiny and soft now!). GOSEEBARBARA!!!

I went for a haircut with Barbara. She did an amazing job! I’ve always struggled with my curly hair, but she made it look fabulous! I will go back soon for some highlights. Barbara is awesome!!!

This review is about the Boutique part! Although, I am hoping maybe one day I will think about getting my hair done here, just because the boutique is awesome. I started checking at this boutique with a friend in August of 2013 when they had their re grand opening of the store with the A Dark & Twisted Midsummer Night’s Dream party. They had a fashion show, drinks, and fun. Their store caught my eye not only because of the décor, but the wonderful staff. This was a great party, but you could also shop. I had to buy something and I ended up buying some unique jewelry pieces from Han Cholo, an eyeball ring and a green heart ring. Golden Bones is one of my favorite boutiques in Austin. One reason why is because they carry a lot of stuff that Dolls Kill, KarmaLoop and Nasty Gal carries: UNIF, Evil Twin, The Laundry Room, etc. So, instead of wasting money on shipping online if you like these brands, you’re also helping buy local. I live in South Austin currently, so I can’t come here as often as I would like, but love coming when they have particular events. The last time I visited, it was for their tent sale in February. I wish I could have spent hundreds but I had to be on the cheapy side. They had a lot of stuff for 50%, 40% and 30% off. They also had boxes with clothing pieces for $ 10 each. I bought two things. A LABANGA Rombo Print skirt(Retail $ 34.50) and Evil Twin Nickel & Dime pants(Retail $ 220.50). Saving almost 90% off! They were also wanting to get rid of some hardware. I also was able to get a dress form for $ 15 which was a steal since on ebay or etsy they were going for more than $ 50. I hope the next time I get to come, I can spend even more of my money.

This boutique is awesome! First, I would to mention the store is pretty badass! They are super trendy and edgy. They have women’s clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, accessories and now they got some new sunglasses in just in time for spring and summer. Everything is reasonably priced so I am able to purchase several items at a time for my wife when I go. If youve been wondering about this place you should definitely check it out! Second, I would like to say that both the stylists are amazing, Stephanie and Barbara are great with men and women and have great style and energy. There is another company called The Velvet Cartel that is pretty amazing. They do photography, cinematography, events, merchandise and the list goes on. This place is an all in one package for anything to do with STYLE!

Go to Barbara! I had a coupon for 40% off and she still took the time to do an excellent job and was super friendly! I felt very comfortable and will definitely be going back. Plus all of their hair products are AMAZING. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been going to Barbara Morin for a couple years now for my hair. She’s absolutely delightful! She does an amazing job with my color and I just did a pretty drastic cut. I trust her to do anything with my hair. She’s honest and thoughtful with feedback pertaining to new ideas about my hair. She knows the Unite product and listens to a lot of my rambling on about life. =) An overall wonderfuk person to know in Austin. Thanks Barbara!

Stephanie Salvo is an amazing hair stylist. No matter what I want done to my hair, it always turns out the way I imagined. She is an artist who loves what she does. I always feel more beautiful after leaving her chair. I am so thankful I found her after being in Austin for a few years and searching for the right stylist. Not only is she my stylist, she is also my friend. I would recommend her to anybody!

I LOVE this boutique. The entire place is an escape and beautifully decorated. Each room has a lot of personality. They have a hair salon, women’s clothing and accessories, and rooms they rent out for photography shoots. This review is for their boutique, which includes locally-designed jewelry, clothing, accessories, and shoes. The merchandise is small, but well-edited. To me, the style is updated 80’s chic. It’s geared more for the artsy type than the athletic type. There are lots of curve hugging, cutouts, and cropped pieces. The clothes are really selected for girls and young women who are proud of their bodies and want to get noticed. I fall into neither of these categories, but were able to find a few unique pieces for my summer wardrobe. Most pieces range from $ 50 — $ 100 and the clothes are smaller than the mass retail sizes. You won’t find too any items that are staples for your wardrobe, but each piece will get you noticed.

I’ve been going to Barbara Morin for the past 3 years for my curls, even got my husband going to her for his curls, and she makes us both look good! We recently got married and Barbara & Stephanie Salvo hooked up my whole bridal party. Our wedding had a 1940’s theme, so Barbara & Stephanie got us all gussied up with really cute retro hairdos. We looked spectacular! To make it even better, we all had a really great time relaxing in the lounge next to the salon room, where Golden Bones took good care of us with delicious mimosas! Whether you need a regular cut or dye job, or a special occasion ‘do, Golden Bones is the spot! Such a great place!

Do you have natural curly hair? Are you tired hair stylists claiming to know all about curly hair because their best friend’s cousins neighbors aunt has naturally curly hair? Did that same«stylist» jack your hair up, and possibly traumatize you a bit? Have friends asked you to consider having your hair chemically straightened? Enough. Just go see Barbara Morin at Golden Bones. She has revived my curls back to their full fabulous glory. My hair is soft. My curls are more manageable(well, about as manageable as they will allow). AND I didn’t have to cut it all off either(it’s past my shoulders when dry.) As an added bonus, she a great colorist, too. I highly recommend her. Just to be clear, my curls are not playing around. My curls have curls.

Stephanie is the best hair stylist I’ve found. My hair looks the best it ever has, in terms of cut, color and overall condition. She offers and gives what you ask for, or if you don’t know for sure, she has great ideas. I always leave her salon very happy with what she’s done. And she’s a lot of fun, too!

Stephanie Salvo is the best hair stylist or rather, hair artist, in town! I have been faithfully going to her for over 7 years. Every time I go in to see her, I am confident I will walk out thrilled with the results, and never have I been let down. Stephanie has a true gift when it comes to hair color. She has never shied away from any challenge(i.e. drastic change) I have presented to her. Changing your color and trusting your stylist not to damage your hair or worse, is incredibly important. You want to make sure that you are in the experienced hands of a true professional, which she is. In 7 years, we have done a lot of experimentation with my color, and I have never been disappointed or had a «hair mare» like so many other women have unfortunately experienced. If you aren’t happy with your current stylist or you just haven’t found one that you«gel» with, definitely make your next appointment with Stephanie. You will never want to go anywhere else again. On a side note, Golden Bones also has a great boutique too. For the ladies, it’s a great one stop shop — hair, check! new outfit, check! Saturday night here we come…

Revising my Unilocal-primarily because after a couple of years getting my hair done by Barbara and becoming«friendly» with her I noticed she never really said anything nice about anyone. Including ME. I was nothing but loyal and kind to this woman. I even tried to support her brother that had misfortune. She spoke terribly about each of her clients/friends never missing an opportunity to tell you what she really thought of them. I decided to go elsewhere after she thought it professional to let me know what a mutual client thought of me. She is an odd woman actually angry… it may take sometime to figure it out, however you will.
