Pretty dang great. Love all the options. Pretty decent menu. Had the vegetarian /vegan options and that was great. Their store is super interesting

I actually wasn’t much of a Freebird fan in the past, but I have come to like it more with the options that they have compared to other said Burrito competitors. I love the sheer fact that they have queso! Who doesn’t love queso?!? I’m not much a burrito fan, but I have realized that I really just enjoy melted cheese so much more, so therefore I’ve been getting quesadilla’s a lot lately. They are giant and really tasty actually. I typically always get the chips and queso of course. Today I ventured outside the box and just went for the nachos since it takes care of my melted cheese and chips and queso issue. It was pretty awesome-tastic. Except I probably could have used more queso, the cheese to chip ratio today was low. But over all it was really filling and good. The price for the amount of food that I got was awesome too. The line was fairly long at this location during lunch hours but for the most part it moved pretty quickly. The parking lot can get a little crazy too here during lunch. There’s a lot of surrounding businesses here. I did notice like a reverse lunch rush here. It was very busy around 11:30 — 11:50 and the line was empty at around 12:10 — 12:15 strange to me, since I assume most people go to lunch at 12:00. Either way the wait isn’t too bad anyways. I will definitely put Freebirds back into my lunch rotation.

Monster burrito is the best deal. I get two days worth of meals out of it. They have various tortillas which is nice. They just got a new jalapeño sauce that has some nice kick to it and it is really good. Their spanish rice is missing flavor but overall everything is really good.

I love coming here to pick up food on my way home, always a positive experience. The staff are down to earth and just super cool. Today was no exception, as I was assisted by the lovely Jasmine. Together we concocted a new salad dressing that we think should be an addition to the menu(a little ranch + a little spice = yummy salad). She was super helpful, friendly, and creative. Even though it was a little busy, both Jasmine and the cashier gal with beautiful piercings were delightful and didn’t make me feel rushed. Slow 80s movie clap for a job well done!

Not sure what I was hoping for or expecting when I came here but it was enough to think really hard on my next visit. This was my 2nd time eating Free Birds. The first time, I had a burrito and 2nd time I had a bowl. Where’s the spices? I mean. how much more bland can you make the food!!! The workers were awesome and very nice, by the way. I’m just not a fan of the food. I’ve had better. And I dare not compare this place to its fierce competition — just because there’s nooooo comparison!

Tried this out as a recommendation from a friend. So you have Chipotle or Freebirds, let’s be honest. Chipotles meat is better(has more taste) but Freeboards rice and fillings tasted better to me. I wasn’t impressed, but it was alright. I got a chicken burrito just as I always get at Chipotle. Got a bit of a stomach ache afterwords, but nothing too serious. Probably won’t be back. As another reviewer said, underwhelming is a good word. Cool place, is neat inside and has outdoor seating.

Went to Freebirds for the first time last night. Overall was quite impressed with the food quality and service. Certainly better than Chipotle IMO. There’s an argument to be made they deserve a five-star review, but even though the food is very good, I’ve gotta reserve the five-star ratings for places where it’s excellent. Regardless, this is an awesome place with fair prices and nice people, and we will definitely be back soon.

After a few months, I decided to try this location again. The service was much better, but the food was just average. It seems like they don’t season the rice or meat very well. Kinda bland unfortunately. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Tasty massive burritos served by happy, hipster, young people. Better than Cipotle, an original with a soul. Made my day.

I was welcomed the moment I walked in. The manager on duty helped me out and was awesome. Friendly, upbeat and he got my order perfectly. My burrito tasted great, the perfect mix of flavors I was going for. Will return to this location when in the area!

Was hoping to be comparable to Chipotle or better but the meal was underwhelming. I picked the burrito bowl with Cilantro Lime Rice, white chicken, all the veggie options and the spicy salsa and also got a container of «spicy sauce» and lemon. You would think with all the different types of spices, it would be full for flavor but after mixing it all up, it was still surprisingly bland. And despite the seemingly huge portion, somehow I managed to finish it all in one sitting which has never happened with Chipotle. I do appreciate the many choices for rices and being able to select white or dark chicken is a nice touch. I’m wondering if I didn’t pick the right combination? I do see Unilocalers mentioning«death sauce» and also roasted garlic(neither of which i was made aware off while ordering) so I’ll try it with those items the next time I order.

I was so disappointed with Chipotle yesterday that I tried this Freebirds today. Axle made my burrito and was very friendly. I got cilantro lime rice, black beans, steak, lime juice, cilantro, sour cream, cheese and a side of chips. It was really tasty! The atmosphere is also a lot more laid back than any Chipotle ive ever been to.

One of my favorite places for lunch. Service is quick and the food is yummy. I like how you can choose between light and dark meat for your chicken. There are more options for beans and cheese than Chipotle. The only downside is that they charge for sour cream which Chipotle does not. Either way, yummy food. The cookies are awesome too!

I absolutely love this place, it trumps chipotle by so much! bi recommend trying the Quesaritto, a tortilla with melted cheese and queso all round and then they add toppings to make the burrito

Freebirds is great! Austin is not short on taco/burrito shacks but this one still manages to stand out. The food is always fresh, and the service is always fast and friendly!

Well, I suppose chipotle will stand as my favorite. Free Birds had Great service. So-so food. Things were either bland or too salty and all I had was a bowl… I love watching the food turn over/constant replacement for freshness at chipotle, but I think it’s because they have a set list of items they offer. Less is more, I think. This is my second review completing my review for FreeBirds. I walked in earlier this week and found it to be very slow. I counted at least 6 dirty gloves on their kitchen floor. Their containers that hold the ingredients were very messy and most looked cold. The beans were dried up on the spoon and didn’t come off to serve well. The staff seemed unhappy and didn’t care that the line was backing up. They could have avoided it if they were productive front the start. I’m sad to give up on this place. But I have it 2 chances. I have no idea where it got 4 stars from. I suppose the slow service, the dirty floors, messy ingredients, and based on the 2nd visit, unhappy service, we’re just in my two visits.

The variety is why I keep coming to freebirds!!! When you can choose dark meat chicken and white meat chicken why would even choose white meat that’s just crazy, but that makes a difference to me!!! I have actually gotten away from eating the actual burritos here I get the burrito bowl, tacos, salad, nachos pretty much everything but the burritos, again the variety is amazing!!! The food is great selection is awesome and no matter how busy they are you move through the line quickly. Now always get the queso yes it’s a little extra but all the good things in life is!!! You literally can put it on everything!!! Would you like queso in your tacos sir? Yes I would what kind of question is that??? Put that queso on my tacos and don’t skimp either is what I say. I always get chips and queso yes I have an obsession with queso leave me alone. Now why the 4 stars since I love the food so much well they changed the menu… and they got rid of the roasted garlic!!! Why would you do that? But love the food and the service don’t change things though the wheel ain’t broke don’t change it!

Freeeeeebiiiiirds! One of these days that song will actually be playing when I walk in there. It has to, right? Anyway, love the fact that I can get different size burritos depending on my appetite. I can get the hybrid if I’m watching my girlish figure, the original, or «I’m a man dammit» now give me a Monster! If you’re really hungry you can always get the Super Monster and pretend you are Joey Chestnut, but I’m not that crazy. The multiple types of tortillas also sets Freebirds above the rest, personal fave is the cayenne cuz I like a little heat. Don’t be skeered though, there’s not really any heat in it. Other things you need to know. Death sauce, get some. Hasn’t killed me yet. BBQ sauce, yeah it sounds weird but it works. Especially when it is combined with death sauce.
