So I was very intrigued by this«fried ball» had to stop by and order one. It was crisp and soft gooey inside. Just like I imagined the experience to be. As far as the tasting… it wasnt anything that was too memorable. It was just an experience of getting a different presentation on a regular dish.

If you want an authentic Italian message, give Fat Tony’s a call. The man who set up the voicemail box has an awesome accent. I just provided you some useless information, but with a name like Fat Tony’s, you gotta assume that the joint has to boast some sort of Italian-American flare. The menu here errs on simple and no-frills, though I do appreciate the slight spin on your typical Olive Garden fare – you won’t find excessive amounts of breadsticks, iceberg salads with pure oil for dressing, or even copious portions of spaghetti – enough to feed a village in Ethiopia. I enjoyed the sausage and pepper ball, a meatier version of their pizza balls. Think fritter with everything a sausage pizza delivers stuffed inside, with a super crispy crust and gooey inside. The marinara tasted a bit of reductionism – the parts of the sauce not quite blending to create something more than its parts. For the sandwich folks, you will find Italian subs here boasting the classic cold cuts as well as the highly acclaimed Chicken Parm. This food park already cranks out far too many sandwiches to choose from, but an Italian option doesn’t hurt. Italian brings a new dynamic to this dining park, and I think they do a pretty decent job at providing hearty and consistent grub.

Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob I may be the worst(or best) person to review Fat Tony’s because I’m hyper critical about my pizza. Fat Tony’s is a little trailer that happens to serve pizza balls. Although I spent the majority of my life in the Boston/NY area, I had never had a pizza ball. So, of course, I had to try one. While Fat Tony’s easily fits my budget at $ 3 per pizza ball, the pizza balls themselves are just ‘meh.’ Now, I only tried the cheese pizza ball, but they were just a bit lackluster. Too doughy for my likings, not enough cheesy goodness.

I LOVE this trailer! The food is authentic New York/Italian fare and the two brothers that own it are incredibly nice. Try the chicken parm fried pizza ball… the gravy(marinara to us Texans) will blow your mind!
