Dr. McClung is amazing and so quick and calming at the procedures! Went in today to have a spot on my face looked at and she immediately took action and biopsied it and burnt it off. Her assistant Eli was also amazing. I highly recommend her!

I’ve been extremely happy with Evans Dermatology. Skin problems run in my family, so it was time to find a dermatologist in Austin. Evans has been a great choice. I’ve been there for a regular skin check, fungal infection, mole biopsies, and mole removals.
Dr. McClung has a great energy — calm, friendly, and explains things clearly. The other staff I’ve interacted with are much the same. It makes for a very pleasant environment.
My highest praise for Evans goes to the financing people. My insurance is a little wonky, and they took the time to help me figure it all out so I wouldn’t be left penniless. Thank you, Shirley!

Took my son in yesterday to be looked at for his Alopecia. Eryn was wonderful and so was the rest of the staff. I will come here from now on anytime we need a dermatologist. The wait wasn’t long and everyone was pretty prompt. Just an overall pleasant experience.

I just spoke with Sara, business owner and Evans Derm has resolved my billing issue completely! She called me immediately and spoke with their outsourced pathology lab herself to figure out why my bill was so high. I will be paying much less now than the original bill, an amount that is reasonable and I can actually afford.
I am so appreciative of Sara with her help on this issue and so glad she was able to find a solution so quickly!
I’ve made another appointment with Evans Derm and will have my health needs taken care of. What a relief!

I have received 2 bills from this business and am shocked at the price!
The office visit and skin check plus mole removal was almost $ 500. My insurance which is through Aetna paid almost nothing of that bc my deductible is $ 1000 and I’m a healthy young adult with no medical problems so this was my only visit to a dr last year. So I paid their office $ 274 out of pocket.
Today I received a 2^nd bill from their out sourced pathology for $ 422!!! Are you kidding me? I called them and their fees for looking at my Mole was over $ 700, and less my insurance was my payment due of $ 422!
I am beyond overwhelmed that I am paying $ 700 for a skin check and mole removal.
I cancelled my next appointment bc who can afford that? The sad part is I really think I do need to have another skin biopsy and am really risking my health by not having it done.
I am praying that there is a better place that doesn’t charge this much just for a basic mole removal!
And for the record, I have good insurance despite the $ 1,000 deductible. I pay at a 2^nd tier level per month. I don’t think that I should have to pay $ 700 out of pocket for a visit to a dr for such a basic service. I’m not blaming my insurance for being what they are, bc lets be real insurance is a huge sham and they do just about anything to make a dollar. I’m just angry bc I pay a lot of money every month for insurance then go the dr, use my insurance and the dr and lab charges so much that the discount is not even worth having. Why and how is it possible that looking at a mole costs $ 700? Ridiculous.
My copay for an ER visit is $ 200, I could have cut my own mole off and then gone to the ER and spent less money.

Super friendly staff, receptionist are great and even remembers my name. Dr Evans is genuine and listens to concerns. Military friendly and understands the length paperwork process:)
Best Dermatologist I’ve had in over 30 yrs of struggling with Psoriasis.

After many failed attempts in treating my adult acne issues by way of dermatologists, I thought maybe one last shot with Evans derm. Nope, it was the same thing right away with my only option being Acutane, which isn’t an option due to the major side effects, previous failed treatments and ridiculous expense. I even brought in products I use to see if the Dr would be able to guide me away or to something that may help… Waste of time and money.

I see the PA Lindsey Detweiler who is always helpful about recommending new treatment options for myself. (Have had to wait a good 15 minutes after being in the room though the past 2 appts) but not a bother for me. I’ve also been going for UV treatments at 730 AM the front receptionist Sherly usually opens up earliest (715). (They really aren’t even supposed to open until 8AM) Betsy the MA usually helps me get settled in the UV room (she’s super nice). All wonderful staff and super thankful for the ladies in the mornings.

Love this place! Love Dr. Amy McClung. Love the ease of getting in and out of their office but even better they answer the phone when you call and you get transferred to a medical assistant right away. So nice not having to always leave a message and wait a day or two for call backs. These people have got it going on! Thank you!

They saved my life.
I had a melanoma in 2010, and they caught it early and got it out of there. Now they have me back every six months and so far so good. I feel confident that if there is a space alien on my skin that needs discovering, they will find it.
Two years ago I moved to New Mexico and I haven’t been able to find a dermatologist I feel confident in. So I go back to Austin for my check ups. That should be all the endorsement needed — I drive 12 hours because Evans makes me feel like they care, they always have time for me (getting an appointment with a dermatologist can be really difficult they are busy bees), and I trust them.
I trust them. When you’re talking about something that could kill you, that is everything right there.

I had a last minute call-​in before leaving town for two weeks on something that was seriously worrying me. They were able to schedule me in as a new patient, last minute, and were completely amazing about it. My PA I saw and her assistant were both so amazing. Explained everything they were doing the whole time and made me feel extremely comfortable talking with them about life (I’m very introverted). I got a call back a week later with results. I can say all-​in-​all, my experience was wonderful! Thank you all!

Took my 5 year old to see Dr Evans for a mole on top of her head and we were very pleased with how everything went. She ended up needing to have the mole biopsied and had to get a shot on the top of her head but because of how patient and reassuring he was she did not cry at all. He took the time to explain the process to us and we were thankful everything came back normal.

I love this place! All of the doctors are cool and nice to be around except for ONE thing… don’t go there with tan lines. You will get the come to Jesus talk, ha. This is the only doctor of my lifetime that I have had a good experience going to every time. I have had Melanoma cancer and they are very diligent about reminding me to come see them and they are monitoring my situation closely.

There is a reason it is hard to get an appointment quickly here and that’s because they are so professional and good at what they do. I’ve had 3 moles removed and a biopsy on my foot done by Dr. McClung and I’ve experienced nothing but 5 star service. The minor surgery on my foot was done quickly and the follow up visit to remove my stitches was easy and fast. Always on time for your appointment. ALL of the staff are friendly. This place is the best!

It does take awhile to get an appointment but I’ve seen multiple doctors and they have all been great!

Finally decided to stop putting off my 1^st routine skin check. Went in for one spot and they swiftly biopsied 4 places. I got a call back for a second biopsy on my back. Scheduling both times was easy and every person I came in contact with has been polite and professional. I would recommend them to anyone and the only reason for 4 stars is because they keep sending reminders even after I confirm appointments via text and one appointment card would be just fine! I have about an inch and a half incision in my back which is very painful but definitely worth the piece of mind and confirmation from the lab that due to early detection I am cancer free! Book your appointment today!

I had Dr. McClung and I called after I had to take my kid to her regular pediatrician after all to ask for a refund at least a partial refund. What a waste of time and money. She prescribed me some otc antifungal without even telling me what my daughter had. Save your time money and see someone else. She is not the specialist she makes out to be.

My experience with Evans Dermatology has been amazing, they are extremely caring and knowledgable. Throughout the last several years we have seen each of the doctors and PA’s numerous times and every time we have received prompt, caring answers to all our questions.
I recently married and I consulted with Dr. Amy McClung for Botox and Radiesse… obviously, this was an important time in my life and I wanted my skin to look flawless for my wedding photos, Dr. McClung did a fabulous job and I looked completely natural but more youthful and refreshed!
I highly recommend them for all ages, our family ranges from 2, 12, 15,16, 20 and 42.

I have had a few different procedures here and my yearly skin check ups as well. I find the staff very friendly. The office is great with reminders on future appointments and following up timely with results. The billing department is accurate and easy to work with (I have had nightmare experiences with prior providers billing errors back and forth with insurance). The nurse supervisor, Donna, was amazing and so helpful on my last visit when I needed a little extra care.

I really like Evans dermatolgy. The only drawback is a lot of other people like them too. And sometimes you cant get in right away. Meaning… it could be several weeks to book. The waiting room time is long.
But I have always felt like they dealt with me and my children appropriately.
