CLOSED, GONE, REPLACEMENTNOTTHESAME… So this review is only a memory now, sad face. The hours have thrown me off a couple times seeing as it’s not open during the flea market but I feel like that’s just the case so other carts can stay in business. This place is the best hot dog I’ve ever had, though word is Tucson has this scene locked down. Also, people are selling these dogs out of their houses in Laredo for two bucks. Time for a road trip, Petey out.

Damn! This was the best hotdog in all of Austin. Where did they go?!? My wife and I were so upset when we saw that the trailer was gone. Boo-hoo :(

First time… a lil hard to find. to start it off, i must admit, im a little put off because, the person working did not speak English or understand. which is very discouraging. Lucky a local was around who spoke English, what’s better, he could read and write Spanish(you’ll be surprised how rare that is) anyway he helped translate everything. The cook. Who was beautiful with huge boobies. i love me some Spanish lol. anyway the regular sounds odd with pineapples on your burger. but everything is delicious.. Got one hot dog, burger, and special fries. i only gave it four stars because of the language barrier.. Its a bit repellant to those who don’t speak or read the language. oh the number don’t work

I absolutely love this place. Although I can agree that the location is ackward specially at night. That is why I prefer to go to the N. Lamar location. My all time favorite are the fries topped with ketchup, mayo, cheese, bacon and jalapenos. A taste of my kind of heaven! Terribly disappoints me when they run out!!! ;( However their burgers are awesome too. These come with the meat, bun, onions, tomato, pineapple, avocado, bacon, mayo and cheese. Cant wait to go back and have a taste. Highly recommend this place, Great Food.

The place is AKWARD seriously! Lol But besides that, the food is definitely a five star! If buying a hot dog be sure to get it with EVERYTHING! Same with the Burger just add the French fries, they’re also really good.(salty) Forever recommending this place.

Oh… my… gosh… This place serves AMAZING food! You can pick between a hot dog or a burger, or both. The location is somewhat awkward but if you give it a chance, you won’t be disappointed. At first I felt the food was a bit over-priced, but it was definitely worth it after seeing the portion. This is definitely my new favorite place for burgers. Looking for a yummy Mexican burger or hot dog? Go there. It’s definitely worth it!

Though reasonable for a trailer stand, I’m not too fond of the prices. I do enjoy the fact that every item on the short menu is quite filling.

the location outside the frost bank has moved :( but they are still around on north lamar outside the north austin event center and on pleasant valley, omg best hot dog everrrr! i crave them all the time, i always say i’ll try the hawaiian burger but never do because i am so stuck on the hot dogs, bacon wrapped hotdog topped with heaps of grilled onions, poblano cream sauce, mayo, ketchup and diced tomatoes and a chunk of queso fresco, mmmmm! also comes with green salsa, diced onions and jalapenos but i opt out of that since i dont eat spicy. omg i cannot speak enough about this place! def a must try!

I stumbled on to this little dog trailer. I needed some food at 3am. Someone ordered me the hot dog with everything and lord… I pretty much did a back flip down fourth street. The jalipinios + bacon rocked me to my soul like a MC Hammer concert. I went back twice the next few nights. I cant even remember what the hell they put on it but DAMNGIRL… it was a pile of awesome love. Food of the gods. This hot dog sang a sweet, sweet song to my belly. I dont even LIKE hot dogs??? Really nice people working there, great fast service. Im going back. The hot dog with everything… ORDERTHEHOTDOGWITHEVERYTHING.

This place is awesome. Best hot dog ever! I don’t even like hot dogs. I got the dog with everything on it except jalapenos. I was not disappointed. I was even craving it the next day. If you are in Austin, you must try their hot dogs.

Sadly I can’t remember too much about the place because I was downtown with a friend and had the munchies after the bars. BUT I do remember the guy at the stand being very friendly and giving me hisbest hot dog… not sure which one that was but I put a picture up. There were heaps of onions on it and they were VERY good! Good food, nice guys, open late. lovely!

Damn this place is good. They let you customize your hot dogs, and after having too many cocktails, very few things are more delicious than one of these! I prefer the hot dog(which by the way are wrapped in bacon), with farmer’s cheese and cactus(yes — cactus, delicious). Here’s what’s so special about this place — how they griddle the buns. Highly recommended!

The name may be wrong. (it is, it’s El Salchichon) The location may not be exact. But DAMN, that Hawaiian burger is right on the money. This food stand occupies a white trailer across from the Frost bank building at 401 Congress. For your eating pleasure are only a few items but all of them are done right. I can highly recommend the Hawaii burger, a seemingly full pound of bun, beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo, avocado, pineapple, ham, bacon, swiss cheese and God only knows what else. It sounds absolutely disgusting and I admit that I ordered the thing out of sheer repulsion but damn that’s a good burger. I couldn’t really fit it into my mouth and the thing was soggy as hell half way through but even soggy it was unbelievably good and honestly I couldn’t finish beyond a few more bites of the soggy stuff. The guy that owns this trailer is really nice and offered to give me my money back if I didn’t like it., but really — it was the best burger I’ve had in a while. Each order is prepared fresh so you may have to wait a while for your meal, but without a line he had orders up in about 5 to 10 minutes. My companion ordered a Mexican hot dog. That’s a hot dog wrapped in bacon and topped with frankly(ha!-puns) anything you can think of. He also got fries which were really really good but pretty salty. This is honestly the best bet for your money downtown. My Hawaii burger set me back $ 7.00 and the hot dog with a big plate of fries was about the same. Anyone who works downtown needs to give this place a shot just for the novelty of eating a burger as big as both your feet put together(the«big as your head» simile is played my friends).
