Denny’s

Slow service and I had to get up and ask for a to go box. Waitress never came back to refill our drinks either.

Came here on a busy Saturday night with my husband.
I understand that there were people ahead of us so we waited patiently. However after 40 minutes of waiting three groups of people who arrived after us were seated before us.
Even then after finally placing our order, people who were seated AFTER us got their food before us.
Once our food arrived, the plates were just thrusted at us but with no silverware so we had to wait for that as well.
Just an overall unpleasant experience

The food was awesome! Our waiter Thomas was very friendly and truly enjoyed his job. It was awesome to see him doing his job with a smile on his face the whole time. The service was very fast and the food was perfect. The only reason I did not give 5 starts is the fact that the bathrooms are very dirty and only one stall had a working lock.

I love this place. the food is reasonable and cheap. servers are friendly and now us by heart now.

Best Denny’s hands down. Staff is excellent, especially Roberta and Jennifer. Manager is great. Food comes out fast, jukebox for music while you eat and food always comes out fast and delicious!

This is by far my favorite Denny’s, ever. The staff is so nice and prompt, and really seem to enjoy their job. Music is always playing (which we love) and they’re not too busy when we come on Sunday mornings. Keep up the good work!

Awesome service and WAY awesome burgers. I hadn’t eaten at a Denny’s in YEARS and forgot how juicy and flavorful their burgers are.
If you don’t enjoy your burger, I will refund your money. :)

Anyone who gives Denny’s less than a 5 star has lost their mind this is the ultimate late night junk food spots and also when you can’t get breakfast anywhere else everybody goes to Denny’s I don’t know what people expect to you I mean a complete meal is like seven or eight dollars did they expect gourmet food its Denny’s it’s a step above fast food but you get to sit down and have a waiter definite five star two thumbs up love Denny’s

Very good service, our waitress was very sweet and helpful with ordering and meeting our needs. I loved the retro feel of this specifics site. It was packed and the food was great– really filling and large portions. Great brunch!

Please do not come here if you want your car broken into while waiting for food my car was parked in the front and the cameras do not work. The manager seemed really calm and stated its happened 3 times before smh PLEASE COME AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

We came on a Saturday so I expected it might be a little busy. When we came in we were told it was a 15 minute wait. About 30 minutes later I noticed there were at least 6 open tables and booths. I inquired why no one was being seated and I was told the kitchen was behind. They decided it was better to tell everyone there was a 15 min wait (which was actually 45 minutes) and make them stand up rather then have them comfortably seated looking at the menu. Poor management decision and it made more then a few customers upset and some left. This is their prime business time, late nights and weekends. That’s when the better places are full so people flock to ihop and Denny’s because at least it’s faster. I wish I had called ahead because I could have been seated at Magnolia’s faster or even kerbey lane rather then having to wait for mediocrity at a Denny’s. I picked it because it’s only a mile away and I figured it would be quicker. I won’t make that mistake again, this place appears to be poorly run and the food was just mediocre. I know my whole review focused on the bad service and seating but we’ve all eaten at a Denny’s, so do I really have to describe the food. It’s 2am only place open with decent prices food. I got the all American slam. It actually came out in a reasonable time and was ok. My date got the chicken fried steak and eggs plate. I don’t recommend any kind of steak from Denny’s unless you are too drunk to tell the quality but she always gets that if its on the menu.

Super slow service. Waitress was too busy socializing with other workers to attend to us. And they don’t know what medium is for steaks. But they do an awesome job at well-​done.

There was 9 tables available and we still had to wait 39 minutes for a table because the manger does not know how to calculate labor hours needed. Over 25 people waiting in the lobby! Terrible service:(

Went here because it was right beside the hotel. Food was ok, not great, not horrible, just edible. The service was really good though and it is a clean place and I like the retro fell to it. I would go back if I stay at the same hotel. If I stayed somewhere else I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat there.

Margaret was our most awesome server today. We have never had a bad experience here and probably have been here up to 3 times in a month at all times of the day and night. Even my 7 year old grandson commented on how good and fast the service was!

I went with a friend to Denny’s around 11 45 pm on a Monday. There were not too many customers, maybe just 2 or 3 tables were full. I was craving for grilled chicken and salad, so I ordered their Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad. The waitress said they were out of apples, so I asked her to add avocados instead. My friend ordered the Ultimate skillet.
i was not satisfied with the serving portion. There was very little chicken, and they completely forgot to add the pecans. The portion of bread served was pitiful. I have had better salads. Definitely not worth the money. My friend was equally dissatisfied with his entrée. There was no sausage, no spinach or bell peppers added to it. It was super-​oily sauté of onions and tomatoes, with a few potatoes and mushrooms thrown in.
Will definitely not recommend this place.

This location is on the other side of I-​35 from the University of Texas. I’m not sure how this affects the number of people that choose to go to this location. If one were to drive from the university, he or she would have to make an U-​turn in order to reach the Denny’s.
The interior design is okay, nothing to fancy, nothing too shabby. The service late at night isn’t too bad. We had a pretty nice server. There were not that many customers at this location. This does provide a quieter environment. Whether that is good or bad, I’ll leave it up to you.
The food at Denny’s was okay. I can’t say it was amazing or anything, that would just be misleading. Probably one of its greatest benefits is its hours of operation. The food is passable and not the most expensive. I can’t say I would come back in a hurry, but if it is late and I want somewhere more quiet, I would come here.

The bad: Awful service and awful wait time. We got there at 11:30pm on a Wednesday night and there were only 5 other tables of customers. It took 15 minutes just to get our order taken, another 45 minutes to get our food, and we gave up on asking for our check. Water tasted funny.
The good: Food was consistent. Busboy actually wipes down the entire seat in booths after clearing tables. Water refills were plentiful.
Would never come back here. I will go to IHOP next time.

Direkt am Highway ist dieser Diner mit der schönen verchromten Fassade gelegen. Hier gibt’s alles, was die lieben kleinen amerikanischen Kinder zu den Wonneproppen macht, die man sich so vorstellt, wenn man die Schublade mal so ganz plump aufreisst :-)
Service aufmerksam, wie sich das wünscht, sorgt für permanenten Kaffeenachschub. Die Gerichte werden ruck zuck zum Tisch gebracht. Mein Burger war saftig mit einer rauchigen BBQ-​Sauce veredelt. Die Brötchenhälften — ganz wichtig — gut getoastet. Das lob ich mir.

This is the super cute Denny’s nearest downtown that has the cool retro diner look even with the fun silver, red, and teal combinations in the décor.
Lisa is the GIRL here!!! She is amazing!!! We went here the other night after the electric Metric show at Stubbs. She did everything, and I mean EVERYTHING perfectly.
I have to say, I had not been to Denny’s in years but they have stepped it up! They offer bacon on anything now, I think my fork and napkin was made of bacon (kidding) but it’s all over the menu. :)
What surprised us was how good the TURKEY burger there is! No joke, try it!
I went with the blueberry pancakes and they were fresh, light, and good. Not the Denny’s I remembered… I think they are movin’ on up on the quality and service, at least here anyway.
Give it a try. The prices are low, but I love the way a traditional diner looks which was why I gave all stars. Lisa listened, was prompt, funny, up on her current events, and she was simply delightful!!! THANK YOU, LISA!!! :)
