Del Curto Apartments

I lived here for about a year and a half. Excellent location — the neighborhood is great, within walking distance of just about anything you could want to eat or do. About 2 miles from Zilker Park, easy bike ride or bus ride to downtown. Management is responsive, owner is very nice, units are perfect for living by yourself or with significant other. Beautiful garden area in the middle of the complex — including a loquat tree (awesome tasty fruit). Laundry on-​site, and plenty of parking. All of this and more at an excellent price point ($ 1000/​mo). I highly recommend living here.

I lived in Austin for 6 years, and I rented here for my last year before taking a job in another city. I spent all 6 years in and around 78 704, and it remains one of my favorite neighborhoods — it’s close to parks, good restaurants and bars, unique businesses, a weekend market, and downtown.
The owner and management are friendly local people and work with you on a personal level — something that is definitely hit or miss at large complexes. Also because the owner is local, he takes pride in his property and you’ll see him out doing landscaping or other maintenance work.
My unit had concrete floors, pleated fabric blinds, and all of the appliances were in good repair and worked well without issue. (Actually, my oven wasn’t working properly right after I moved in and they had it repaired probably within a day, but that’s the only maintenance issue I can remember having.)
These units are probably the most soundproof of the places I rented. You have close access to all the happenings of Austin, but it doesn’t follow you home and keep you up at all hours of the night.
Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for an apartment in Austin and want to be close to everything.

I have lived here for over 3 years and love it. Great location yet very quiet. I like that it is a small community of only 22 units.
