David Mosier, MD FACS

I have struggled with the decision to write a review of Dr. Mosier or not. I am a very private person, and would typically like to keep my private business my own. I consider breast surgery private… it’s my personal business. After almost a year post-​surgery, I have decided I needed to say something. I initially met with Dr. Mosier to discuss options to a previous breast augmentation. After almost 15 years, I felt it was time to have my very large saline implants replaced. I struggled with the decision to 1) Replace implants with silicone implants of the same size, 2) have a breast lift (mastopexy) and have silicone implants, or 3) completely remove implants, no breast lift. So, in 2013, I began my due diligence: I met with Dr. Mosier and with my original surgeon. I gathered my data for each of the 3 scenarios described. It took me 2 YEARS to finally decide upon what I felt was the right decision for ME. I decided to have the mastopexy to lift my breasts (and reduce the size), and to have silicone implants. My surgery was scheduled for May 2015. I had two pre-​op conferences, where I specifically told Dr. Mosier I wanted my result to be a B cup… I was tired of dressing around my breast size. After my surgery, I am a full C cup and I have horrible scars on one of my breasts. I hate the way they look. The sooner I can put a top on, the better. And I still have to dress ‘around’ them. After expressing this concern to Dr Mosier, he did offer to ‘re-​do’ the breast augmentation, but I would be responsible for the almost $ 3,000 in anesthesia fees. I’m still paying off my original charges… I cannot incur anymore fees. I’m saddened everyday by the way they look, and I have to reluctantly pay a $ 385/​month payment for them. I’m saddened, and I cannot recommend Dr Mosier to anyone. I would in fact go out of my way to encourage others to find a different surgeon… perhaps one who listens.

So I’m making my very first Unilocal review because I HAVE to gush about my new nose from Dr. Mosier, it’s perfect! I was hesitant because I hadn’t heard of him and was originally going to go to one of the flashier doctors, but I am so glad I decided to do a consultation with him. I now know he only works based on referrals so that is why I hadn’t heard of him prior to my moms friend recommending him. I’ll start from the beginning.
I booked my consultation about a month out — it was free — and met with Dr. Mosier in early January. His office is clean and nice and the girls working there are sweet and unbelievably efficient. Dr. Mosier listened to everything I wanted and gave me realistic expectations for my nose as opposed to the other doctors who had more of the attitude of «sure sure, whatever you want» which made me appreciate Dr. Mosiers honesty and trust him more as a surgeon.
The surgery– not going to lie, it was uncomfortable! I had my bump shaved off the profile of my nose and my round tip slightly defined. I went in for surgery in mid February. The healing process went quickly though and I was in Dr. Mosiers office every week checking up, he was patient with all of my questions and concerns. My bruising was minimal and I could feel myself healing quickly; I know that’s because I was in the hands of a skilled surgeon.
Fast forward now to early April and my nose is so cute! I can’t stop looking at it still. I’m still having follow ups with Dr. Mosier which I appreciate because I would feel odd having two check ups post surgery and being sent off into the world with this still healing nose. It takes a full year for it to heal and for the swelling to go down, but I see results every day! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for rhinoplasty in Austin, Dr. Mosier is the best.

I chose Dr. Mosier for my breast reduction surgery because a friend of mine recommended him, and I could not have been happier with the entire process.
Dr. Mosier’s staff is incredibly professional and kind. The ladies in his office are accommodating, helpful, and patient (I called so many times with random questions). I want to give a special shout out to his nurses: you ladies are AWESOME. Thank you so much for being so knowledgeable, you are rock stars.
Dr. Mosier explained the breast reduction surgery to me in detail during our first consultation, and laid out all of the pre and post surgery procedures during our final consultation before the surgery. I felt calm and taken care of when I went into surgery, and had a little bit of pain after the surgery but not much. When I woke up Dr. Mosier checked in with me to see how I was doing, and I was able to stay in the recovery room for awhile to fully wake up and prepare to head home.
My first post op appointment was great– the nurse took the wrapping and bandages off, removed the drainage tubes, and showed me my new and improves boobies! There are certain restrictions after the surgery to prevent infection and injury, and I felt 100% prepared every step of the way because of the information and support given to me by his awesome team.
I had wanted a breast reduction for 8 years, and finally having the surgery was a truly life changing gift for me. They are PERFECT.

Recently, I had an elective surgery procedure performed by Dr. Mosier. When the Anesthesiologist Nurse was preparing me for surgery, I asked her what she thought of my doctor. She said, «If there is a word beyond wonderful, that’s Dr. Mosier». I quite agree with her and feel that he exceeded every expectation I had.
Dr. Mosier is kind, sympathetic, honest, and brilliant. But don’t let all those descriptions intimidate you. He is one of the most open and down-​to-​earth physician I’ve ever met and always greets me warmly and on time. His staff love him which tells me he is a good manager, as well.
If you wish to have an area of your body enhanced, reduced or removed, look no further. This is the doctor for you!

I just had my breast reduction surgery this past Tuesday Dec 8^th. I am super happy with my results. My breast look so nice and they are perky. I knew he was going to make them beautiful. I had heard from numerous people that he was the best. Well he is and I have 2 beauties to prove it. I’m still home recovering but I’m enjoying putting on small shirts. I went from a triple D to a full C. I’m so in love I feel like flashing people with them. Thank you Dr Mosier for making me these pretty knockers.

Dr. Mosier has officially changed my life! I went in for the bump in my nose that has bothered me for years. He did an amazing job, always professional and I am so completely happy with the outcome. I had ZERO recovery pain, took ZERO pain/​nausea medicine and love the way my new nose looks! Thank you mosier!!!

Dr. Mosier is the best! I have had two elective procedures, and several Botox and filler treatments all done by Dr. Mosier. Both procedures went smoothly, from initial consultation to final post surgical appointments. My results were wonderful and I received great care by Dr. Mosier and his staff. I don’t like to over-​do it on the Botox and fillers and Dr. Mosier has always given me the results I want.
My favorite things about his office are that I never have to wait long to see Dr. Mosier, there are no pushy sales tactics, I never feel rushed during my appointments with him, and his staff is professional and discreet. Most of all I feel that Dr. Mosier takes the time to listen to what I want, answers all of my questions, sets appropriate expectations, and doesn’t try to push me into anything I don’t feel comfortable with. I can’t say enough great things about him and his office.
I have been seeing Dr. Mosier for many years and will continue to go to him for my future needs. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a plastic surgeon, cosmetic or otherwise.

Way to go Dr. Mosier! Dr. Mosier was highly recommended to me by several professionals in the health industry. I had a failed breast reconstruction due to infection post mastectomy. Meaning I had implants, removal of implants, etc. After 3 major sugeries in 6 months and multiple months of treatment of numerous antibiotics I was at my wits end.
Dr. Mosier successfullly gave me tissues expanders in one operation and replaced those with permanent implants in another operation removing the cadaver skin that caused the infections in the first place.
What can I say? Fantastic bedside manner, smart friendly nurses and staff, and A++ technical and creative skill in my breast reconstruction. I look and feel great thanks to Dr. Mosier. HIghly recommended!

I went to Dr. Mosier in August of 2013 for a breast reduction consultation. He was great. He answered all of my questions, and addressed all of my concerns as well. I didn’t feel at all rushed, and he was very patient with me. I tend to ask a lot of questions.
We waited a few months on my insurance to see if the procedure would be covered; it was. So we went ahead and scheduled the surgery. I had my surgery on 12÷9÷13. Before surgery, we again discussed how much would be removed, to make sure we were on the same page as far as size. We were. I went from a DDD to a C. I was, at first, nervous because I knew that would be a big change, but after discussing my wants with him, we agreed that for my size, a full C was my best option. I have other medical issues so he decided to keep me overnight to monitor me. I liked that he was that detailed and concerned for my overall health, not just the surgery he was preforming. Surgery was a success! It’s been 4 weeks since my surgery, I’ve already had 3 follow up appointments, and they’ve been great. My scars are very light, and after only 4 weeks, they aren’t that noticeable. I tend to keloid, during my consultation; I made him aware of that. He suggested I have radiation therapy on my scars to reduce the chance of keloids.
Overall, he was great, so are his nurses. His office staff dropped the ball a couple of times. Once with my insurance; they never called me to let me know my insurance had approved the surgery. I found out when my insurance sent me a letter letting me know it was approved. They also failed to tell me that the radiation therapy had to be scheduled with a different office. It was finally scheduled, which actually made me reschedule my surgery date. Dr. Mosier really thought it would make a big difference with my overall happiness if I had the radiation therapy. I trusted him, and I’m glad I did because the scars did not keloid and I’m sure that’s why my scars are barely noticeable.
I, almost immediately, felt back pain relief. I’m so glad I went through with it. I am now able to exercise and I’m comfortable in my own skin. I’m looking forward to having a healthier life. Thank you Dr. Mosier!

I went to Dr. Mosier is Feb 2010 for a breast reduction surgery. He was terrific! I recovered quickly, and now a year later, can hardly see the scars. If I ever need plastic surgery, I would go back to him.
