This is my favorite Darque Tan location in Austin because their beds are the newest! They also have the nicest spray tan booth out of any of the locations. Darque Tan in general IS pricey though.

I was a member here for like 4 years and cancelled my membership. Since I am going on a cruise I decided I would try to tan before going. This place is a rip off! I signed a month to month contract in which they charged me a enrollment fee plus the monthly fee. Then when I get the contract they tell me they are going to charge me another $ 25 to cancel a month to month contract in addition to the monthly fee! This girl hasn’t a clue what she is doing! Now they don’t know how to refund the $ 75 they charged to my credit card and I didn’t even tan! Terrible customer service for a returning customer!

I’m really impressed with the service, the cleanliness, and the quality. A Groupon brought me in, but the knowledgeable and helpful staff, solid selection of the Botanica line, badass beds will keep me returning. No up-turned noses here, they walk you through the buttons on the beds and the facility is quite well-maintained. I definitely recommend!!!

Nice salon. The girls there are very helpful, or they were to me. I was a 100% tanning virgin when I started going. I am tanning for a wedding in August and after explaining to them my ignorance they helped me figure it all out and the best way to get the best results, without pressuring me in to purchasing products. They are a little pricey, but they are a corporate chain so that is to be expected I suppose. Overall ok, beds and salon are always clean and I am in and out in no time!

(I suggest going into the salon to get your own opinion dont just judge off of one bad review) That being said, I love this tanning Salon it is the only place I will go to! The staff is amazing and Shelby is generally the one working shes always so helpful, personable, and is beyond sweet! The staff is very accommodating, the salon is very clean, and for those who think it’s expensive to tan there are always Groupons available for the salon and they always have specials running. If I could give the salon 10 stars I would I couldn’t be happier!

Very expensive place to tan. Snobby staff. Deceptive business practices. Good luck canceling your membership when you realize there are nicer locally owned places across the street that charge half the price and have friendlier staff. When I went to cancel, they convinced me to «freeze» my account so in case I wanted to go back in 60 days, I wouldn’t have to pay an initiation fee. It automatically drafts on the 16th of every month, but apparently somewhere in the fine print it tells that you must cancel by the 10th in writing at the store location. This was not stressed to me when I «froze» my account. I called in around the 7th asking to cancel, and the representative told me I needed to come to the store in person. I was out of town, but went in on the 13th(three full business days before the next month would draft) and tried to cancel. Apparently, this was not enough, and the told me I would be drafted on the 16th and charged for a full additional month! I called their«corporate customer service office» and despite telling them I no longer wanted their services and to not charge my credit card(now three days before the drafting date) they wouldn’t do anything to help me. Meredith, who claimed to be the top person in charge right below the CEO of the company, told me it was more important that they follow policy than make their customers happy. She also said it was a «business» and she was supportive of sales representatives not going over what is in the fine print because ultimately they are out to make money. WOW. Besides this being deceptive and bad business practice, this goes against consumer protection laws. It is still days until this will draft out of my account, but when it does, I will dispute it with my credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB. When looking on the BBB site, you’ll notice this company has 27 complaints against them, mostly for billing issues like this one. This business also scores an F with the BBB. I’ll forgive them and write another review if they do not draft my account, but it doesn’t seem like they care about their reputation from what Meredith, the head of customer service, tells me. If contesting the charge and filing a complaint doesn’t work, great, Darque Tan, you get my $ 50, but that will be the last $ 50 you ever get from me and I’ll spread the word. I actually told her this, but she said she didn’t care. Stick with cheaper, less pretentious, locally owned tanning salons who value their customers, instead of viewing them as profit.
