Dance Discovery

I really love this dance studio. My kiddo is 4 and the class that she is in is great. I do not expect a whole lot of technical ability at this age… it is more of an introduction to the idea of dance. Her teacher is really great with the students and is endlessly patient with them. I also love that the class is only 45 minutes as they are so young. As an added bonus they do a monthly themed camp. The camps incorporate dance and stretching as well as yoga and are just plain fun for the kids. Not to mention that they are super affordable. I feel lucky to have this place right in my neighborhood!

Going into our 2^nd year with Dance Discovery with the Fine Arts Preschool The preschool program is lovely, the teachers create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages the kids to express themselves and explore.
Pros:
— Gentle, loving environment where children are treated as creative individuals.
— Carefully thought out craft and activities. Day includes: Circle time, play stations, craft, yoga, story time… and then a full dance lesson.
— Small program. the kids get to know each other really well.
— Because the kids are there 2x a week, the teachers are able to cater to their individual tastes
Cons:
— Limited days/​hours. Right now it is Tuesday/​Thursday 9:30 — 1:30
— Outdoor play is very limited — there is an outdoor playspace, but it is at the other end of the building, and the kids have to go as a group.
