I’ve had an extended stay in the embassy and I’ve gotten food from the Copper«Grill» twice and have had a sub-par experience with the food and atmosphere. The food is overpriced for the quality, seems like premade items most-likely heated or put together. Service was decent however it took about 15 – 20 min to prepare our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant, granted we got there around 8pm. I ordered the steak sandwhich which was served on strange bread that was the majority of the sandwhich and had overly toasted edges. The chicken soup is the most decent item on the menu.

Nothing special in décor or atmosphere. I ordered the steak wrap and it came overcooked and quite chewy. Flavors were also lacking… Speaking of which, the service was lacking and my waiter was more attentive after he saw the corporate card.

Average food. The Tortilla soup was very good. The wait staff on the other hand was terrible. They were slow and didn’t know their own, limited menu. Soup came out about two minutes before entrée. I recommend leaving the hotel and finding a better place to enjoy a meal.

Copper Restaurant & Bar offers nothing above and beyond any other standard hotel fare. In fact, the room service menu resembles some variation of an elementary school cafeteria menu. The open air seating plays right into the Embassy’s feel, but it did seem dark without being intimate – again, old school and unattractive. Wings, nachos, and pizza run the show, right next to burgers and similar«safe» offerings. The kitchen prepares a number of goods in-house, but I still cannot get over the fact that the most unique option is a shrimp avocado cocktail. Out of a hotel in this area of town, I would assume to find more refined grub, but perhaps the management will take this into consideration. Otherwise, they are merely providing a restaurant as a nominal service – not truly seeking to satisfy the customers. And I don’t assume that the clientele will want to walk to Hooters, Upper Decks, or ZAX for every meal, especially if the hotel already focuses on bar food. Copper Restaurant & Bar deserves no praise at this point, but perhaps this above average hotel will throw their loyal stayers a curveball by offering something fresh and new, or at least they should.

Bad experience. The chips were stale. Shrimp Cocktail was poor. My chicken quesadilla had hardly any chicken. When they brought it back after I complained, they added only two more little pieces. Very bad restaurant.

Burgers are pretty good. Good flavors and fresh. Fries are good as well.

What a great experience. This restaurant is hidden gem within the Embassy Suites hotel, but its service and quality of food sets it apart from other hotel restaurants, without the crowd. The open air seating outside the bar and restaurant offer lush vegitation, an active water feature, and sports on TV. The food is top notch. I highly recommend any of their steaks or the house made crab cakes, yum. Their drinks are nothing to shake a stick at because they have the knockdown power of the Longhorns defensive line. I recommend their dirty martini.
