Well, I was all set to write a great review of Cool Box storage because the experience has been pleasant… until I just saw my credit card bill. We were quoted around $ 200 for less than one month of using their pod, and yet I was charged $ 931.87! Wha??? I have emailed them and am hoping that they made some sort of mistake. I also agree with the person that said that the incline they use when picking up/dropping off the container is too high. I’m so sad because their customer service seems very great, but these are two huge marks against them. Hopefully the huge overcharge is simply a mistake?

DONOTUSECOOLBOX, BUYERBEWARE, THISIS A SCAM! We used Cool Box during our move to Austin. We had two 8X20 pods for our 3 bedroom 2 bath home has suggested on their website. We were never contacted about the condition of the Pods, until we opened them on moving day to discover they had been completely damaged with water. I had tried repeatedly to get Cool Box to come out and take a look at the damage, they refused, and said they have no one in the area. I asked for the name of their insurance company so that I could contact them directly. We have insurance on our belongings, but Cool box should be involved in this process and they should have someone out here. After all it is their«Insulated» storage Box facility that leaked, their insurance should pay. How is company still in business? It is the predatory and misleading way they represent themselves to the consumer before something goes wrong. The Cool Box Claims department, can only be reached via email, and all of the other Customer Service Representative’s have been rude, and say their is nothing they can do. The Claims Department has only half responded to one of several emails I have sent by sending me a copy of a contract… DONOTUSECOOLBOX, BUYERBEWARE, THISIS A SCAM!

My first time to ever post a review, because I generally have not encountered such poor management. DONOT, as the other reviews state, trust this company. Their files show that we verbally committed to extending my two month contract to a 6 month contract and that they would begin to charge me the 6 month rate. NEVER did they say i had to re– sign a contract. They have dishonored what they committed to, even though their notes from my file documented the conversation and will not refund me $ per POD from 15 charges, equaling. $ 300. What is even worse is the phone staff refused to give up a managers name. Naturally the manager was out. You have to question the ethics of a company whose managers hide behind the front desk and do not honor their verbal and written commitment. You wouldn’t think $ 300 to a nationwide company would be more important than solid customer service from someone who has spent $ 5,998.12 with them.
