I went to this clinic for my first prenatal exam because I was still enrolled in traditional medicaid at the time that I made my first appointment. I arrived and the lady at the front desk was helpful and kind and directed me to the third waiting room. The lady at this desk was rude and ignored us. Then I was taken back to get my history and led to an exam room. I waited there basically naked (shrouded in thin paper) for over an hour while listening to the ladies outside fight about what seemed to be routine phone calls one would expect a practitioner to make. THEN after informing them I would be switching to a diff OBGYN for my next appointment, a nurse came in and said.“so why are you even here?”
I explained that I was told conceiving naturally would be hard for me and that since I had a positive pregnancy test the doctor said I should go in ASAP to make sure everything was going well. They basically ran me out of the clinic telling me they didn’t wish to start my paperwork or conduct an exam if I was going to seek care elsewhere in the future. After tearfully explaining that I was just worried about the health of my unborn child (as well as my own) she said she would speak to the Doctor about seeing me. Two and a half hours after arriving I finally got fed up enough to get dressed and walk out after listening to them talk bad about me in the next room while I waited naked, freezing, and sick with strep throat. I then called to confirm they weren’t going to bill my insurance for the visit, and they informed me that my check in and every record of me even being there had been erased. I can only assume they did this after realizing how terribly they treated a patient and did so only so they wouldn’t look bad.
