Really great food. I have found it very hard to find a good Peruvian restaurant here in Austin, so I am very glad I gave this food trailer a try. The lomo saltado is spot on, the beef was tender and well seasoned and the rest of the plate had all the ingredients typical for the dish. The ceviche tasted fresh and was just the right level of spiciness. My favorite Paruvian dish is the aji de gallina and I have a set taste in mind for it. Even though that aji de gallina that I was served did not have the taste I expected, the dish was well seasoned and tasted good. There is a lack of seating, with only one picnic table, but the whole time we were there we did not have a problem. In addition, the chef was very friendly and had a great personality. I can’t wait to go back and try the arroz chaufa and salchipapas!

I first tried this trailer back in December and not only did I enjoy seeing David(who I recognized from the Llmas Peruvian truck) opening his own place, but the food was great too. In fact, I went back a second time in less than a week. I just got back to Austin after spending nearly a week in Lima and David has all the classic Peruvian mainstays: Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Anticuchos De Corazon, Pan con Chicharron, Aji de Gallina. All dishes I had there and loved. He even has Inka Kola(though, I prefer chicha morada). His lomo saltado is better than the Llmas truck, as is everything else I’ve had here in comparison. The Pan con Chicharron is a must have and the arros chaufa is great. I’m glad to see him doing his thing, I wish him nothing but success, and I look forward to getting my Peruvian fix on here. Just writing this review makes me want to go there now. **A heads up, David cooks most everything from scratch so arrive with a little patience, especially if it’s a busy day. It will be worth the wait.

You must try the Lomo Saltado. It was excellent! Especially with the mildly spicy sauces that it comes with.

A delightful hidden gem near the university campus! Came here with friends yesterday to try it out, and we were all quite satisfied. I’ll try not to rehash what the other reviewers have said, but I think the two distinguishing factors of Ceviche7 are its(1) tastiness and(2) homeliness. We ordered two Lomo Saltado’s and a Ceviche de Pescado, both of which were awesome! Of course, a large part of it was due to the artful mix of flavors, but I think equally as(if not more) important the freshness of the ingredients, which is often overlooked. 5⁄5 would recommend to newcomers, and I’m hoping to try the pork belly sandwich next time! Chef David, who runs this place, has a warm and inviting personality. We had the privilege of chatting with him as he was preparing our food and listening to his experiences, and as he was serving our food he inquired if we needed anything else to make our meal more complete. Encounters like these when eating out are hard to come across, so if you visit, make the best of it!

Amazing food. This is just like you would feel if you ate with a Peruvian family. Can’t wait to go back. Great people. This food truck will soon be one of Austin’s most popular. It just needs more attention!

Wow, just wow. If you’re hesitating to try this place, JUSTDOIT! You will not regret your decision. This place is 5 stars all around. I got the lomo saltado and the mahi mahi ceviche. Both were superb! Better than any Peruvian restaurant I’ve tried in Austin and it came from a little shack with the nicest chef working hard to please his customers. The lomo saltado had beautifully marinated beef tossed with caramelized red onions and crunchy French fries served with white rice. This is a Peruvian staple and this man perfected it! The ceviche did not disappoint either. It had huge chunks of mahi mahi in a citrusy marinated blend. It was served with two types of potatoes topped with big corn and fried corn for crunch. Everything about this place screams authentic from the food to the friendliness of the chef. He was so warm and welcoming that I already want to come back just to support him! His food is out of this world and the service just makes it better. Can’t wait to come back again and again and again!

This is probably the tiniest food truck I’ve ever seen and by far, has the best service. One little Peruvian man works the truck and he is the nicest person ever, not to mention the fact that he’s a fantastic cook. We got two lomo saltados and an order of ceviche to share. As the chef was cooking our lomo saltados, the sweet aroma of Peruvian stir fry drifted over to us and made our stomachs growl a little more and our mouths water in anticipation. I wasn’t even hungry before coming, either! The lomo saltado was fantastic. Albeit, this is my first time having Peruvian food. But I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. The ceviche was bomb!!! I am an avid ceviche consumer — I love me some raw fish cooked in lime juice! and this ceviche was fantastic. A little on the sour side, but very well complemented with some sweet and super soft side carrot/potatoes! It doesn’t sound like a typical ceviche, but trust me, it’s fantastic!!! The owner kept asking us if we needed anything else and making sure we were happy with our food. He really was the sweetest man! I’m so so glad I discovered this place. Awesome spontaneous meal made by an awesome, awesome man!

I was the only person there on this beautiful January afternoon at 4:00 pm. David, the chef/owner, was just opening up. He made the ceviche pescado for me FRESH and even fried up some sweet potatoes and yucca fries! I think if he could he would totally sit down with every single person to discuss the food and how me makes it and how YOU want it. He takes a lot of pride in what he is doing and it shows! I’m already planning to come back for the sweet yucca«tamales» he makes for dessert!

Man, that was good. My mouth is still dancing with the flavors. Such a great spice too if you like spicy. If not, the man behind the glass making the food seemed very capable with toning down the spice if need be. The man knows what he’s doing and was very kind. That was just delicious. You just might see this man running a restaurant before too long, so get the ceviche while he’s still here.

When we got there, there was a small line. David is the only one there taking orders and cooking the food, so the wait for the food was a bit long. We waited about 25 – 30 minutes, but it was worth it. We got the arroz chaufa and the lomo saltado. The food smelled incredible. I thought my dog was going to pass out from ODing on the fumes. Seriously, he was going nuts over the food. Our favorite was the lomo saltado. The meat was really tender and flavored well, and the fried plantains added just the right hit of sweetness. I highly recommend checking out this place. If you don’t believe me, you’ll believe my dog, right?

I am not sure exactly the best place to start… Well, the beginning I suppose. I was riding by one sleepy night on the way home and was awoken by the glow of David’s shiny metallic food stand, over the white rocks in front of a usually dark set of bamboo stalks. Or, to be completely honest, the sign spelling out«ceviche». If that’s not enough to get your running, or at least walking briskly, you should perhaps reevaluate the things you hold dear to your heart. Simply put, the ceviche blew me away. Better than anything, absolutely exponentially, that I’ve had this distance from the equator. Only a few nights later I had a small group of friends over and everyone was arguing about dinner ideas, each with their own, I dragged them on a sneaky walk to what ended up being Ceviche7. Each person left ridiculously satisfied. Tonight’s dinner was no different. I’d give you tips and/or tricks to ordering but we’ve now had almost everything that is offered there is nothing I could tell you but to try it all. Try something you don’t think you’ll like. You will. David takes amazing care in every component, every facet of the dish. He presents each meal with genuine eloquence and interest. Not to mention, as you will see in nearly all the other Unilocal reviews above(and prolly soon below) — he is one of the most friendly people you’ll meet this week and the next. The first, second, and third times the charm. I’m sure the many each that will soon follow shall be too. ¡Viva Ceviche7!

So good. Best pork belly sandwich I’ve ever come across. The owner is super great and giving. Food was fast but not sketchy(pre-made) fast. It’s definitely a cook to order venue where every ingredient is seasoned with attention. A must try. Especially if you are at spider house… conveniently nestled right around the corner.

First, a small holiday bonus. Sing along if you want: «Away in a trailer, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Unilocaler laid down His sweet head. Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And take us to trailers, to eat with Thee there.» And now the review: ***** POPQUIZ ***** 1. What’s with this surge of Peruvian lately? 2. Would we know good Peruvian from bad? 3. Is this Chef David guy putting out good stuff? ***** ANSWERS ***** 1. Dunno. 2. Nope. 3. Oh gosh yes. I do know Lomo Saltado is pretty much Peruvian Cantonese, and for $ 9.20 here, you’re getting beef tenderloin stir-fried with onions & tomatoes, over a mound of rice & steak fries. A remarkable Huancaína sauce that I thought was for fry dipping, but Chef David said mix it up with everything. It’s pretty potent stuff. There are only ten different menu items, we can do all of them in three visits, and your shower is bigger than this guy’s trailer. It’s pretty amazing what he’s doing in there. I’m going to bring us some real plates & cutlery.

All I can say is that this place is sooo good! Fresh, authentic, flavorful and all around delicious. A must try. The guy that runs it is super nice and considerate – I didn’t think there’d be anything for me considering that I’m a vegetarian, but when taken in by my carnivore girlfriend, I was immediately offered fried yuca root(DELICIOUS! Better than French fries by a long shot) and asked if I was a vegetarian + said he could make a vegetarian dish w plaintains, garlic rice, and stir fried veggies. It was amazing! This guy is dedicated to making fresh, quality food and providing good, friendly service. I will be back and am excited to see this place grow!
