I just got the Charles bed from Capitol Furnishings and absolutely love it. The price was incredible for a real-​wood bed of this quality that is hand-​made in Austin! I looked around online for a real-​wood bed that fit my style and couldn’t find anything near the price range of the bed at Capitol Furnishings.
Additionally, working with Rico was a fantastic experience. He owns the shop and is very personable and easy to work with. After going in once, I called in my order a month later, and he personally delivered the bed and helped me set it up. Nothing but good things to say about this place. The store operates by appointment, so be sure to call ahead and schedule a time to come by.

The customer service here is top notch. Rico was extremely informative, communicative and most importantly, genuine. He walked me through my options and really helped me feel like my interests were being heard and respected.

They have wonderful down to earth customer service! No pushy sales people. We were in search of two new mattresses and could not have found better people to buy it from. From my understanding they are locally owned and operated and also offer local buisnesses furniture for sale. Honestly if your on the fence at another place and are still looking for a place with honest people, quality and good prices this is the place with all three. I will be recommending them to friends and family.

Having just relocated, my husband and I had to sell and then replace most of our furniture on a budget. After scouring other places, I arrived at Capitol Furnishings feeling overwhelmed and disappointed with the hustling and in-​your-​face sales tactics of other mattress stores. Thank goodness for the guys at Capitol Furnishings!!! Even though I arrived without an appointment, Rico, one of the owners, invited me in and then took the time to go through every available option on my limited budget and even work with me to make something work. YAY!
On top of the great customer service, he was also able to arrange next day delivery before 5 for me so that my mattress arrived before our very first over night guest :)

The customer service here is fantastic– one of the BEST that I’ve encountered. The owner, Rico, made huge efforts to make my experience here the best that it could be, and he did an exceptional job at it. He worked very hard to help find the ideal bed for me, and he worked with me on the pricing. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It’s Austin-​based too, so the buyers are helping out a local establishment as opposed to a chain company with stores all across the country.
Update: Rick brought my mattress. He’s super nice and friendly, and he lugged the thing (queen size) up three flights of stairs BY HIMSELF. I offered to help him, but he smiled and said that he got it, and indeed he did. He also works as a mover (for general moves, apart from delivering mattresses specifically). I completely recommend hiring him; bottom line, he’s fantastic.

Great, easy way to purchase quality furniture without any pressure or fluff! Stop in and talk to Rico or Chris — they’ll hook you up with a great deal! Took my purchase home the same day and assembled it myself — it was so easy! I’m very happy with my new bed!

This was my first time shopping here. Rico and chris were both very nice. Although as a frequent furniture buyer wanting to buy things in bulk. Sent a email to rico for a quote never received a response. So I shall go elsewhere. Other than that service was great.

My boyfriend purchased us a new bedroom suite, and it is amazing. The mattress is so comfy… I sleep so much better now. The furniture rocks. I love, love, love my new bedroom. They even came and set it up and installed it and everything. It was easy peasy. I’m planning on getting furniture for other rooms as well.
Oh, and the pricing is awesome. For the quality of the furniture (which is good), the price is so much less than what you would pay at some place like Rooms to Go or somewhere like that.

My husband and I moved into a new condo and needed some new furniture. We found exactly what we needed for our living room. The furniture looks beautiful and Rico was extremely helpful and personable. His crew was very nice and helpful as well and delivered it on time and assembled everything for us that needed to be assembled. I would definitely recommend Capitol Furnishings to anyone wanting good quality furniture at a good price that wont break the bank.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new mattress. Rico and his team were great to work with. The financing was easy (and compared to most places super cheap!) We went in sure we knew what we wanted, but after working with the staff, we changed our minds and ended up with a crazy comfortable mattress that was cheaper than the one we initially intended to buy. Where else can you go that they don’t try to talk you up, but instead just help you get the best product for you.
We will most definitely be going back for more furnishings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who asks. Don’t waste your money at the big box stores. Go see Rico and the guys at Capitol and get the service and price you deserve!
