This place is clean. Dirty ass bars on 6^th street has become the standard, but now I finally have a bar where I don’t stick to everything I touch. The shots are amazeballs, and the bartenders are quick. Loving this place.

Came here for the variety of shots. Stayed for the music which was ON POINT. Got the sex on the beach and pineapple upside down shots-​fantastic. And $ 3? YASSSS. When we walked in the downstairs was super chill but upstairs is a different story. Everyone was ready to make a fool of themselves, just how I like it on 6^th. Will deff go back to try the other shots they have.

This bar is my new favorite!!! The happy hour is unbelievable and I can honestly say I’ve never had such TASTY drinks before! The prices are nice and straight forward unlike some bars and restaurants. I tried all kinds of different stuff and didn’t find one drink I didn’t like! There’s three levels to the bar which is nice with bathrooms on the lower too. (This is awesome for ladies like me who dislike stumbling around up and down stairs in search of a bathroom and then having to wait in line). The bar was full, but it didn’t take long to get the attention of a bartender, and even after being helped, more bar tenders would make sure I was being taken care of. They offer creative rim options, and their shots are WORTH THE PRICE! I recommend the pickle shot. I can’t stop day dreaming about it. I only hope they soon get a website with some drink descriptions.

My sister was visiting from another state so my boyfriend and I brought her downtown to show her 6^th street. After visiting 2 bars and sharing a drink at each bar (1 drink total each), we decided to wait in the 30 min. line for Buckshot. We got up to the front of the line and a group of 4 – 5 people walked in front of us from off the street and the door guy (short, heavy-​set guy with a beard) allowed them in. They appeared to be his friends. My sister politely asked them to wait their turn and they apologized and stepped aside. The door attendant turned to us and said we were not welcome because we were «too intoxicated». Mind you, we shared 2 drinks and had been downtown for maybe 1 hour. We were anything but intoxicated. My sister asked to speak with a manager and his response was «No, and you need to leave or I’ll push you.» As a door attendant at a bar the job is to diffuse situations, not become hostile and begin ISSUING THREATS TOWARD WOMEN. I told him he was a piece of shit and his response was «I KNOW, AND MY MANAGER KNOWS I’M A PIECE OF SHIT AND HE DOESN’T CARE.» He then told us that the reason he wasn’t letting us in was because my boyfriend was too drunk. My boyfriend was sober and was our DD that night. The door attendant became red in the face, began shaking and sweating profusely and got in my face issuing more threats. He appeared very intoxicated. Meanwhile, the manager (who the door attendant refused to let us speak to) was dancing behind the bar to a Drake song. We left and went to both Barbarella and Easy Tiger, both of which served us drinks without any issues and my [sober] boyfriend drove us home.
I’m disappointed in this bar and the way its employees treat customers, particularly women. I’m also sad that my sister had to experience such an ugly part of the Austin community that evening. I won’t be returning to this bar and DON’T RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE WANTING TO EXPERIENCE AUSTIN’S GREAT NIGHTLIFE.

I came in because of the music but I’ll come back because of the fantastic service. There is also really good specials and bin ball. This place is great!

I wish I didn’t even have to give this place one star. They are a horrible excuse for a bar on 6^th street. My boyfriend lives here in Austin and we were out one night about a month ago where his class ring fell off. Another customer found his ring later that night and messaged us on facebook that the ring was returned to the upstairs blonde bar tender. When we went to retrieve this very expensive ring the next day, we found out that the BARTENDER had STOLEN his ring. We contacted the manger who did NOTHING to find the person who stole the ring and return it back to us. Essentially the manger/​owner at this bar are just as filthy and slimy as the bartenders who stole the ring. Do NOT go to this restaurant unless you too want some stolen jewelry. Never have I seen such a horrible run business and horrible behavior and I have worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years off and on.

While walking down 6^th street, the door man told us they served pickle shots as we walked by. My friend got very excited and asked if I have ever done one before and I said No! Lol… a pickle shot? So, off we went inside for a $ 3 pickle shot! Well, it’s pickle juice, vodka and chili lime salt on the rim. I can at least say I have now had a pickle shot! Not sure if I could stomach one again though! The bartender was funny and had a great time serving us and the place looked fun but there wasn’t anyone else patroning the place while we there. When the mood strikes for a pickle shot, we will be back!!!

A shot bar! I’ve actually never been to such a place. Such a good idea! They have a crazy large menu of shots — organized by price ($ 3, $ 4, $ 5 shots, etc.) The only downside is most of them I have never heard of, nor can you guess by the name what it is made out of, & the bartender wasn’t the most helpful. He was just trying to turn & burn customers.
The drinks are GOOD! The fruit loop, thin mint, etc. all tasted exactly like its inspiration! My favorite was the cucumber kamikaze. Refreshing, with a bit of a tang as it had spicy mango salt around the rim.
The bar is two levels– downstairs is a wooden bar and open space, with some video games by the restrooms. Upstairs is more enclosed, with another bar, dance floor, and small stage. They play Top 40’s & Hip Hop club music which we loved!

Must go! Some fantastic and innovative shots, good music, friendly and chatty bartenders and good location.
Try their pickle shot — its my favorite.

Easily the best bar on 6^th Street. They have an amazing shot selection, as well as beer options. The staff is very friendly and all of the bartenders are very knowledgeable. Bartenders remember everyone & you are always treated like family.
They recently opened a huge upstairs patio, which is the perfect place to dance, drink, and interact with your friends. Also, the best DJs in Austin spin here every weekend.
Whether you’re looking for a crazy night or just wanting to enjoy a couple drinks, Buckshots should always be your first choice while in downtown Austin.

One of the best bars on 6^th St. The staff is amazing and they have the best shot menu in Austin.
There is a new upstairs «dance» room in the second floor and a brand new outside deck.
The owner, Adam, is usually around and is one of the friendliest bar owners in Austin. He remembers everyone’s name and what they drink. He is also a master «shotologist».
Make sure to try a Snozberry or a classic H-​Bomb.

Shot bar… Plain and simple. I ordered a martini ultimate chicolate with Oreo rimmed. Came to about 12.00 for a drink, what ever I am on 6^th street, I expect that.
The bar wasn’t busy, I was nearly done with my drink but was still enough for two more sips. Aka. Enough to leave on the bar while I ran to the ladies room. I came back and my drink and full glass of sprite was gone as if I’d left. I asked my bartender where my drink went, he said he just signed out and his shift is over that the new bartender dumped it and I could order a new one. Gggrr
The new bartender comes over with an attitude, I closed my bill and went somewhere else. This place was practically empty… I could have been most of your tip that night buddy… Oh well.

Best Bartender on 6^th Street: Q
They had a long line outside which consisted of a younger crowd, probably 21 – 26. We were able to get in without waiting, (possibly because we were 3 females) but I will say the reason they seem to do that is to manage the ratio of guys to girls. I think there was a guy standing by the stairs (once you get in) charging to go up– but we didn’t pay and he may not have actually worked there. The rooftop patio was too crowded so we hung out upstairs, but inside. Getting Service on the rooftop looked nearly impossible. Order on floor 1 or 2, then go out to chill and enjoy the rooftop. The music was a great mix and the bartenders are all really fun. Everyone was dancing, laughing and having a good time. I would absolutely recommend this place, they certainly made us feel welcomed!

I really like this place. They are adding a patio as well so look forward to that. Great knowledgeable bartender and a ton of interesting shots and bottle/​can beer for those that don’t do liquor. The only thing I was disappointed about was not seeing someone do the Ray Charles shot! Ask about it and dupe a friend into doing it!

The bar tenders were very helpful and on the ball. Id probably stop in again. But for me its a stop in. Get a shot and move on kinda place.

Great place for shots — not so great place for service. Make it one stop on your pub crawl and go else where to linger.
