This is a serviceable and decent pool. Sure there are some leaves and sometimes a bug or two in the pool gutters. Big deal. The lifeguards seem like great kids, and all the parents are very friendly. Everyone’s just happy to be cooling off. I found this pool when I was searching for a way to have a good time with my infant in the 100+ heat. I guess it’s a cutback, but it makes me sad that for the 2012 year, they now completely close in the off season. I would rather pay the $ 3 to get in, then drive to Deep Eddy or Stacy.

Took the family here to swim the other day. We went right at 11am when they opened so there was no one there yet. They have a couple of tables in the shade so we grabbed one and plenty of space for the little one to splash around with us before all the big kids showed up. I agree that the water isn’t as clean as I would like it. There are some leaves floating, but hey, it’s a free pool in the summer. Life guards are friendly and helpful. I’m not a huge fan of the bathrooms because there’s not enough light in them. It feels pretty dark in the stalls to me. The grass isn’t lush and green and never really is. With the drought, it is turning more into a dirt area than a grassy area under the trees. I knocked it down a star because of ants. We went to have a snack and I got bit several times by fire ants. Overall, a good pool.

Really nice neighborhood pool. One bummer– too many unsupervised kids under the age of 10 running around in summer months. Way too many for the pool lifeguards to keep up with! Obviously it is used as a drop off babysitter! Shame on those parents, should have better enforced pool rules. Great pool except in summer months, unless you want to over ran by unsupervised kids.

I called around and found out that the pool was closed longer than normal due to a leak. I went by on Tuesday(4⁄26) and they were open again! I got there at 5:00pm and there were several lanes free, but they filled up fast. Also, the pool is only free during summer months. It currently costs $ 3.00 for adults and $ 1.00 for kids, cash only.

Hooray I finally found a Pool in Northwest Austin which stays open the whole year! I went on a Tuesday around noon and Had a fantastic swim. Crowds: Low The lanes were not crowded and the lifeguard to swimmer ratio high. Parking: Indeed I had to walk no more than 25 feet to get into the pool area. Showers: nice hot and somewhat discrete Eye Candy: Some hot housewives, but not much. Grassy area: This is the biggest drawback to this pool. The Grass is filled with biting ants. NEVERLEAVEYOURSTUFFTHERE. I learned this the hard way. Water temperature: Pretty warm in September Depth: 2 – 4 feet deep enough to lap swim, but no good diving. Admission: 2 dollars in the winter
