I contacted Alon abut a few items of inherited jewelry plus a loose diamond I wanted to sell. I’ll start by saying that Alon had such a pleasant personality and great sense of humor that it made the entire process a fun experience. Alon obviously loves his job and he is good at it. He has a wealth of knowledge about jewelry and he is happy to share it. As for doing business with him: well, let’s just say that if everyone were as fair and honest as he is, the world would be a better place. I am all about giving kudos to people who deal fairly and honestly and he gets mega kudos! As others have mentioned, he is transparent about the process and there is no pressure (at all!). I cannot recommend Alon highly enough. If you want to sell jewelry or diamonds, go to a few other buyers first, then see Alon!

I contacted Alon at B&B when I wanted to sell a vintage diamond ring. Having dealt with gold and silver buyers over the years I can tell the biggest factor is trust. There are a lot of shady operators out there or just people you don’t get a good feeling about. If you’re not an expert, how do you know you’re not getting ripped off?
Alon immediately put me at ease and is knowledge of diamonds and jewelry is obvious. He let me know what a typical jeweler would sell my ring for, what he planned to sell it for and what needed to be done to the ring before it sold. He then made me an offer with the option of selling it on the spot or providing his offer in writing (good for 7 days) so I could shop it around.
I felt like I got a very fair price and he’s genuinely a good guy. I left feeling great about the transaction and will definitely be back.
Note: You need to make an appointment first but he responded to my text in minutes and I was able to see him right away.

I was referred to Alon Bernstein by Benold’s Jewelers and I am so glad! Alon is incredibly knowledgeable in his field and a very honest, fair man. I felt comfortable with his offer to purchase some estate jewelry I had but checked with another buyer first before choosing Alon. Although the offers were very close, I preferred Alon’s very straight forward style and his «no pressure» attitude. I even learned alot about diamonds from him! I highly recommend Alon if you have gold or gemstones to sell. You will enjoy meeting him, too!
