For various reasons I have had reason to visit the ER at this hospital. For an ER they are very fast and you don’t have to wait for hours to get in. Upon entering the ER you are greeted by a receptionist and a nurse. The nurse is there to over hear the conversation and to decide if you require immediate attention or if you can wait in the waiting room till a spot is available. The staff is very thorough and knowledgeable. Up to now Mayo/​Austin ER seems to be doing a very good job.
