Austin Art Glass

I’m like a crow in that I like sparkly, light reflective things and I always go in this shop when I“m on S Congress just to ogle Aarons creations. Imagine my joy when I got an ecoupon for this store ($ 20 gets $ 40 off)! I almost wet myself! I literally bought the coupon Thurs and was in the store on Sat spending it ON MYSELF! Merry Christmas to me!
They have so many beautiful things to choose from, from plates to bowls to vases to jewelry to glasses. I picked out the perfect plate for my living room to make it «pop». Seriously, this plate will upgrade my whole ensemble, make us all fancy. I was doing the happy kid dance as Aaron «autographed» (with a drimmel) and wrapped up my purchase.
I even talked to him about an idea my hubby had for a wine glass that we were told «couldn’t be done». Aaron said otherwise and offered to talk to hubby about it.
They mentioned that there would be more ecoupons as they’d had great response from them, so I’ll be watching my inbox closely!

I may not be an «art» expert or anything, however the way I look at the glass art here is that its is awesome, no two pieces are alike :) My husband and I have lived in Austin a little over a year and EVERY time we are on South Congress we always stop in the see the new designs and watch them give lessons to people behind the glass… We love love everything in there. Today we were lucky enough to have signed up for a 1 hour private lesson. It was super fun and very informational. We can’t wait to pick up our pieces tomorrow. It was the best Valentine’s Day ever! We look forward to booking another lesson soon and hopefully a longer one! Thank you Austin Art Glass and Aaron Gross for making our day :)

This is a pretty rad place! I’m not really much of an artsy person, but every time I walk by this place, I’m always amazed at some of the stuff I see. The people that work there are pretty great too! Very friendly. If you’re looking for some tight looking glass artwork, come here.

Blown glass is cool. It has a grace to it that no other art form has. Glass gives you the movement of sculpture, with more warmth and the color of paint with more depth. It totally rocks.
OK, so enough of me sounding like some pompous art critic who went to college. Maybe I’ve spent too much time drinking coffee and wearing black. Please forgive me.
Austin Art Glass has many groovy glass plates, ornaments and vases to check out. You can also make an appointment for a live demonstration, which sounds like a cool thing to do. Who’s in?
