Dr. Stockton is awesome!!! He performed a bunionectomy on both of my feet(not simultaneously) and I could not be happier! The results are simply amazing! If you, or anyone you know, are considering having his procedure done, go see Dr. Stockton!

Dr. Dalton is the best! Having worked in the medical/insurance community for 20 years I had heard of his reputation as THEABSOLUTEBEST foot and ankle doc in Central Texas but had no idea until a traumatic tendon laceration on 6⁄1(broken 5 gallon glass bottle vs. foot) sent me to the ER and ultimately his care. Not only did he explain the procedure, risks and options thoroughly, completely and patiently his calm presence and kindness placed my husband and me at ease — that was huge. With each office visit following, the staff have gone above and beyond to answer questions and offer support. I couldn’t have asked for better care.

The only reason I gave 1 star is b/c it made me. The office was nice but it was downhill from there. The front office staff was aloof and unprofessional. Their office was open to the waiting room and the receptionist was on the phone with another ortho office and said«shit, what have you been doing there!» She was joking and I am no prude but I felt this was so inappropriate in front of patients. When I got back, the MA taking my history took about 10 min per page to type into computer! Much of it he could have done before he came in to the exam room, but he choose to stand there in front of me, typing at almost one finger at a time. He only had 3 questons for me and he repeated it twice. Then they took me for xrays of my foot. I already had a bad foot and then I practically had to play«Twister» so the tech could get the xray. I had to go up 2 steps on a mobile stairway they had in room, stand with one foot on the bottom step, and place my bad foot on the xray plate. Then I had to lean forward towards the xr machine that was close in front of me, hold one pant leg up and hold on to the stair bar with the other hand. It was a very akward position and wondered how elderly people with a bad foot or ankle manage. When I told the tech that the position was uncomfortable and seemed unsafe for unsteady patients, she ignored me. Now I have had foot xr before and it was never like this. The tech said the machine didn’t fit anywhere else, but there has to be a better, safer way. Now after about 10 min I went back in the little room and waited-and waited. At this point I had been there over one hr and still had not seen the doctor. My appt was at 0830 and it was now 0950. I asked the MA how much longer b/c I had to be back at work at 1030 and he said that there were 2 pts ahead of me. NOw when I got there, there where 2 patients ahead of me almost 1⁄5 hrs ago! What had the doctor been doing? I then found out that a patient showed up almost 2 hrs early. When I went out to see MA to get a approx time when I would be seen, the early patient had already been seen ahead of me and was checking out. That was the delay, I am assuming Why wasn’t she seen after pts scheduled before her had been seen? FINALLY te doctor came in. He was nice and professional, but didn’t seen to listen to what I was saying. I had told him that the issues with my foot was exactly the same sx I had yrs ago when my ligament was torn-same location, sx everything. I told him pain wasn’t my main complaint but he kept focusing on «pain». He said from XR it was arthrits. I don’t doubt that I have some arthritis, but that wasn’t what was causing the sx. I asked him what about my former issue and could it be reoccuring but he kept focusing on arthritis and needing a injection in the joint. He had wanted to wait for the MRI but I want to go ahead and be sure the tendon is not about to rupture and voiced this to him. I wasn’t comfortable having the injection so I said I wanted to think about it. He gave me an ankle brace which made the swelling worse, and said return in a month. He didn’t seem to l anything that I was saying. My whole foot had generalized swelling and esp at site of my surgery yrs ago with another foot specialist. I have moved so I coudn’t go back to him or I would have. I also noticed that on my chart, someone had drawn a smiley face and then re-drawn a frown face, I guess b/c I asked how long until I saw the doctor. How unprofessional. Since my foot is not improving, I just called today to see if I could go ahead and get a MRI to check on tendon. I was told that I would have to come back in for another appt– 6 days after my last one about the same sx! I told then that I didn’t feel that another appt so soon was necessary but no go. I am a nurse and I didn’t feel right about this appt. A doctor should listen to what the pt is saying b/c 9/10, thier instinct is correct. I don’t want a doctor that rushes to judgement and ignores the sx. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck it is a duck 99% of the time. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. I will be seeing my former doctor in the next few wks.
