My boyfriend and I went to Art and soul for a wine and paint class on Thursday. Our instructor was Jean Schuler. My boyfriend and I were the only two people for the class, which seemed daunting at first. We have been to other wine and paint classes before with over 30 people in each lesson. Our experience at Art and soul has now spoiled us. We got great help from Jean and created paintings that we were really proud of. Our canvases were smaller than our other painting class, but I ended up liking that better. Because there were only two of us, we got our choice of what painting we wanted to choose. We also got to bring our own wine, so that was fun too. The class was a mix of instruction and personal creativity, so each of our paintings where unique to ourselves. Jean found a perfect mix of the instruction versus letting us work on our own. Overall, this is our favorite painting class that we’ve been to. I would highly recommend this art and soul wine and paint class. The smaller class offers better instruction for the students, and leaves more room for creativity. it’s more laid-back than other wine and paint classes, but does not offer as much structure or instruction. If you would like to create something unique to yourself, this is the perfect class for you. It was also cheaper than most of the other classes, which was a huge pull. I highly recommend this class– just don’t forget some wine and a corkscrew!

We showed up for a class we regestired for on Saturday 11⁄8 at 7pm for a byob painting class no one was there. I emailed them and called and recieced a lousy email from them the next day saying oh yeah sorry we canceled that class, just sign up for another. I guess they dont realize how much it takes to find a sitter for the kids and a night when you and your partner are both off. I am so disappointed with their customer service.

Went with 4 friends Friday night for a class with Andrea. Instructor was very nice, we had plenty of space and ample materials were provided. A larger canvas, especially for this painting would have been nice. We did a Monet lily pad, which had me concerned about finishing it in the allotted time, and we got a late start. I don’t think anyone left with something that looked frame able. I have tried this type of painting before and find it challenging, I have one more voucher, so I will go back. I’ll pick something easier like the field of poppies.

I bought this Groupon for my daughter. We were both excited about it. I couldn’t get their website to accept my Groupon code so I left a message for them to call me. That took about 3 days and when they did I found them rude and difficult to work with. Instead of trying to help, they wanted me to call Groupon; however, I felt like the problem was with Art & Soul’s website– not Groupon. Art & Soul finally took my reservation over the phone, but they were short and rude about it. I had to call today to cancel and the same person, I believe,(I’ll be nice and not mention names) took my cancellation but didn’t ask my name. When I asked if she needed it, she told me she was busy with an Art class and shouldn’t have answered the phone so I needed to email her. Ooookay. Instead, I emailed Groupon and got a refund. Bottom line, I don’t think these people are interested in offering a 1 hour art class. It seems like it’s an imposition to them.

Great new art school with great teachers who know what they are doing. Took a Painting with a Twist class and had a blast since it’s BYOB. The instructor went to art school in SF and knew how to teach a complete novice how to work on an Impressionist painting that was tough. Highly recommend as an evening activity!

My son thrives in this creative and fun art class. The keepsake artwork featuring his paintings are a bonus and worth every penny.
