I hired Allied in San Antonio to build an outdoor kitchen and a pergola for my backyard. They promised licensed professionals for all parts of the job… they said that’s why it was so expensive. After agreeing to almost $ 10k and starting work, we realized the mason was doing all the work — electrical, plumbing, demolition. We demanded the licensed professionals they promised and they had to come clean up the work started by the mason. This dragged the project from 2 weeks to 2 months and counting. Upon further review, we learned this company isn’t even registered/licensed with the city so none of our work is permitted. I trusted them because they advertised in the Home Mag as a licensed, insured company. Maybe in other cities, but not in San Antonio. Check your city’s webpage before you believe someone is registered to perform residential contractor work. If anyone was hurt on my property, I would have been liable. They want to cut corners where they can and make you think they are giving you everything they promised. Problem is, it’s not true. I can almost promise none of the work has been approved by my HOA. Who knows what will happen if they catch wind of it; just makes me ill to think I trusted them to do what they advertised.

Aesthetically the work looked good after it was completed but in less than a year it has developed cracks throughout the entire surface

It’s hard to enjoy a backyard when most of your time is spent pulling weeds in a crushed granite walkway. That was our situation until we had walkways put in. Allied Outdoor Solutions improved our backyard by building permanent walkways. Matt Knobloch came out and we walked over the project potential. He gave us a bid with several options allowing us to choose based on wants and budgets. His crew started very soon after we agreed on the project. I can’t say enough good things about Peter and Joseph. They are young men who understood the vision we had for the project and went about building it. They also showed an artistic flair in free handing the flagstone pattern for the walk. The colors used matched existing structures beautifully. This project will give us years of enjoyment in our backyard. I highly recommend Allied for practical and artistic improvements to your yard. Pictures to come soon.
