All Austin Cooperative Nursery School

I chose the Co-​Op for my son because I wanted him to have a loving, nurturing and supportive environment that focused on play, respect and love for others. I am pleased to say it has became just as much a place for me and the rest of my family to be supported, grow and play as well. This school is a true treasure in our daily life. From the kindness of the director, to the immense talent of veteran educators to the vibrant and dynamic community of parents and students– it has enriched our family life beyond measure. I am thrilled that my daughter will get to begin her classroom experience there next year.

My two children have both attended (and thrived at) the Co-​op. I am constantly amazed by the dedication, creativity and professionalism of the staff and teachers. It is a «cooperative» school and parent participation is valued and expected. Each family has a support job and is required to help in the classroom periodically. Most importantly, children are able to explore and create with a variety of materials and activities — indoors and out! They learn through play. There is a dedicated art studio where the kids get some individual attention and learn about art process while using their imaginations to create art. It is a nurturing and warm environment for children to grow. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We have been attending co-​op for three years now (and have one more after this) and I can not say enough good things about it. We adore the staff, who are amazing professionals. The way they interact with the children is inspiring, thoughtful and respectful. Each time I am in the classrooms I learn something.
My only regret is that we didn’t find it sooner than we did.

This is my son’s first year at the co-​op and I wish we had found this place two years ago. Everything about the co-​op is fantastic, from the teachers, to the director, to the families, to the learn through play philosophy. We couldn’t be happier and my son proudly tells everyone we meet that he «goes to the co-​op». Highly, highly recommended!

This school is amazing! I have watched both of my children grow in compassion, respect and care for others here. When looking for a preschool to send my kids I searched for a place that would encourage fun and an understand of what they say really matters. When I entered the doors of AACNS I found that and more. I observed not one child sitting in their class uninterested or disengaged. Rather I heard laughter, creativity and excitement as everyone worked together to accomplish the same goal, learning. The teachers are beyond experienced in education and the director sets the tone for the school community which allows you to relax and know your kids are in GREAT hands. I knew this was the place for us!!!

I was so excited to find this school for my children eight years ago. My third child is there now, and I am continually amazed by the dedication of the staff, the professionalism of the director, and the support of the other parents. The teachers really focus on their students and where they are, and they continually provide a rich variety of materials and activities. The classes are half-​day and follow the AISD schedule. The two year olds go for two days a week, the three year olds for three days, and the four and five year olds go for five days a week. Parent participation is required and valued. Each parent is asked to help in the classroom approximately once a month as well as take on a support job. There is a range of jobs to choose from, and they really try to help you find a job that fits your family. This might seem daunting to some folks, another thing to add to their busy plates, but in fact participating and cooperating in this way helps you really understand your child, the children your child is playing with, and you gain so much from the expertise of the staff. I couldn’t be happier with «The Co-​op» and I strongly urge you to check them out.

This school is a place to encourage community, togetherness, better parenting, and develop compassionate citizenship. The teachers have been there forever and are beyond excellent. You know that one person in your life that can use just the right words to make you feel like your important and what your doing is important that’s the teachers and that’s what the give the kids — respect, love, and understanding. It works so well, I challenge anyone to find a pre-​school room with more peace than this place.

Great Director, teachers and community. This is our third year and we have loved every minute. If you love for your children to roll around outside (rain, sun or snow), paint with shaving cream, jump around in the foam then this is the pre-​school for you. Oh, and the community is fantastic.
