Avoid the young kid who works there. He doesn’t know the laws and is not friendly. He failed me for something I could have fixed around back of the shop in a couple of minutes with a pocketknife because he was in such a big hurry to get to the rich people waiting just behind me. Yes, sorry my car is old, but at least I deserve friendly service like the next guy.
Look for the tall guy or the older skinnier guy. They are usually there, and are very straight up with you. Great guys.

Great experience. Took my classic car for inspection and they were very careful and cautious with everything which put me at ease. They were also friendly, fast and cheap. What else can you ask for? I will be using these guys from now on.

Ever since I found this place, I won’t go anywhere else … it is all about timing, meaning, if the garage door is open and there is no one to wait behind, you’ll be out of there in 10 – 15 mins (so long as, your car is in good shape and does not need any state inspection repairs to pass), speaking of that, that is the other reason why I like this place, they have minor state repairs, bulbs, belts, fuses, but nothing major, so they will fix what they can to help you pass, but there is no hidden agenda to get you to commit to due a major repair with them, cause they can’t, let say like a new muffler because your emissions are off on the state test, highly recommended !

Pretty straight forward experience.
I came, I saw, I got inspected. Well, my car did anyway.
From the time I handed the man my car key to when he came back inside the oh-​so-​air conditioned office, only four and half minutes had passed. It was quick, painless, and even a titch pleasant as the gentleman who took care of my car smiled and made small talk.
So far, my quickest and most pleasant inspection experience in Austin, only beef was that it came in right at thirty dollars (after the added dollar for ringing debit) which puts these guys as my most expensive inspection to date.
