A Child’s Garden of Language

I’ve observed several classes and participated in a Mandarin class with my toddler. As a former teacher and parent, I was very intrigued by these classes and the languages in which they are offered. The teachers I observed were fantastic — very animated and engaging. There were a variety of activities in the classes ranging from read alouds, play with giant parachutes, learning colors with fabrics and songs, interacting with other children and parents with balls, etc. The pace of the classes was fast enough to keep the babies and toddlers engaged and entertained, but not overwhelming. The entire classes are in the language of instruction so the children (and adults!) maximize their learning. I also like that each class starts and ends with the same songs so the children and parents know them well enough to sing them together at home.
I’m excited to see what additional languages will be offered in the future as A Child’s Garden of Language grows. Children acquire language so quickly at young ages and this is such a great opportunity for them to do so while also playing and socializing. The price is also very reasonable compared to other group classes for young children!
