Please be leary when working with small companies. I had a standing appointment that was scheduled on a Tuesday for Friday, the same guy who answers the phone was supposed to show up. We took time off work to wait, NO CALL /​NO SHOW, probably the worst thing that can happen. After many calls and voice mails on friday and saturday nothing returned. I called again this Monday morning to hear they are no longer accepting Home Shield warranty work.
WELL THANKS FOR CALLING ME ON FRIDAY TO LET ME KNOW YOU ARE CANCELING ME. MY TIME IS WORTH MONEY JUST AS YOURS!

This guy came out through AHS because our dishwasher wasn’t draining. He said he’d come between 9 – 12 and give a call 30 minutes prior. He didn’t call until 12:30, then arrived at 1. Told me to reach into the disposal to see if there was something in there. Said he checked the disposal which was not covered under the visit and would not guarantee the work. As we expected (given his «no guarantee»), the problem persisted and we called AHS back to send another company. Sears came on a Saturday morning and found that a glass broke and had clogged the drain. Not sure why A-​Appliance didn’t ever check the drain to begin with. Terrible, not thorough and unprofessional.

The gentelman was rude to start with. Needed a part so he orders it AHS has a contract so they order the parts. I was on the email. Parts got in the same week he came by. I waited till the following week. I got an email from AHS asking how was the job, so i panicked and call the guy. He never picks up the phone, left him a message so he calls me back saying he just got the part. Hello i was on the same email. So i told him according to fedex the box was delivered last friday so again he starts arguing. He came in on Friday to fix it and he started arguing with my wife about the drain pipe that he moved that we will have to call a plumber. We were not able to test to see if the dishwasher even works or not. Calling American Home Shield now and letting them know if they ever send this guy i am dropping them. I have had AHS for past 6 years and had other repairs done without any issues.

Took 2 days to respond from my request with American Home Shield for a dishwasher repair. Asked him to call me 30 minutes before he arrived he said ok and hung up on me. Called me 20 minutes before arrival and was not very friendly. Came in. hit the float and said that’ll be $ 60.00. Its $ 60.00 set foot in your home. Next year American Home Shield will not have my business… and I will be sure to check with friends to see who gives good service.
