Customer service at its finest. Joshua B and I stopped into Zumiez in preparation for our upcoming trip to Colorado. The hubby got some new bindings for his snowboard and needed help installing them. After searching the Internet for a cheap place nearby to assist with this, we realized there weren’t many local options. Wah wahhh. We ended up calling Zumies on a whim, knowing they sell boarding gear. At last! A helping hand — and for free! We brought his board in and were helped by Dan, one of the managers. He was super knowledgeable about snowboards and gave my husband a ton of advice. Everything from where to buy parts, to what size board and bindings he should be using. Nice guy! While my hubbie was talking to Dan, I decided to browse around. I’m not much of a boarder, so their convo on the topic only held my attention for so long :) Zumiez style doesn’t really match my day-to-day fashion, but they do have some cute t-shirts and hoodies I could totally get on board with(pun intended). I also thought their scarves and sun glasses were super cute too. There are some pretty great people working at this Zumiez location. I highly suggested stopping in and taking a look around!

Let’s just say I was excited how attentive the staff was there, and helped me put together an outfit for me and my wife for our date night. In 2 Days I spent $ 1,500, and then I realized Dan the Manager wasn’t being helpful, he was just using me as mark to get me to buy as many things he can push on me. Why I say this, is because when I went to return a $ 100 pair of diamond supply glasses, he said I couldn’t because I wore them. Me and this kid were suppose to have an outside meeting to work for my marketing firm, but he didn’t show because he is lazy! Furthermore he said he can exchange, but won’t return. Isn’t that same thing, because your going to put them right back on the shelf. He was walking over $ 100’s to pick up pennys. If he couldn’t see that I wasn’t some kid that buys clothes, and return them as my MO, he doesn’t deserve to be in retail, because he was more worried about his inventory than his new customer, because until now I never been in Zumiez, but love the style. I returned my stuff at Bolingbrook, and Woodfield Zumiez without hesitation. If you still decide to go to this Zumiez ask for MJ, because Dan is more worried about his temporary inventory problem, not building a long term customer. Dan can’t be trusted, trying to do side work with me. Everybody there was so helpful and kool is why I gave this 2 stars, unfortunately, they are being led by a Inventory Nazi, name Dan not Adolf! :-) Good Luck to You guyz!
