Since discovering Out Of The Attic Antiques a few years back, it’s become one of my favorite places to shop, browse, or just reminisce… I stop in at least once a month, and 9⁄10 times I leave with a purchase. Usually a vinyl record(or three), or some sort of eclectic piece of jewelry, or some crazy old toy or antique or something for my husband’s man cave. Lots of my friends have been collecting & playing records for years. I mean yeeears… long before Urban Outfitters made it trendy. But I’ve fairly recently jumped on the band wagon, and this has become one of my favorite hobbies and Out Of The Attic has become one of my favorite places to find those musical gems you’ve totally forgotten about. I popped in today and purchased 2 new additions to my collection(yay!). The cabinet that I’ve been storing my mini(60+) collection in so far isn’t tall enough for albums to stand upright, so up until today they’ve been kept leaning on a huge diagonal and some even laying horizontal(yes, I know that’s a huge vinyl no-no). When I checked out, I asked Glenn if he knew of any wooden crates or milk crates within the store that might be for sale so I could have someplace legit to hold my records(until I own enough to fill a full shelving unit or something of the like)? There weren’t any on the floor, but he took the time to go out of his way to venture in back, and returned with the perfect milk crate that he sold me for just a few bucks. If that’s not 100% customer service above & beyond, then I don’t know what is! I never thought I’d be so excited over a plastic milk crate, but he made my day. Just one more reason, among dozens, why I’ll keep coming back over and over…

A lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Lots of collectibles. A lot of glassware. Kinda like a maze getting around. Would be easier if it was set up with aisles but can’t really do that at this location.

Let it be known that this place is amazing. I could have spent hours combing every inch of the store. Had it not been a little too warm in the store, I would’ve stayed much longer. I scored a vintage owl cookie jar and a double owl planter for $ 25! Both items were on sale! I probably would’ve bought a few items but the boyfriend seems to think I have too many owls. Is there such a thing?!

Love this place. my husband & I were here for almost 2 hours. Great sport memorabilia. Will be a good place for some Christmas shopping for our nephews. Lots of stuff I haven’t seen before. Surprising location in the midst of all the Fox Valley chaos. going back soon!

I am native from Belgium and visiting Aurora for business purpose since 20 years: I really discovered this shop two years ago, after searching for flea market events since several years. As my schedule can hardly manage any preset date for such events, I had a hard time finding some shops that provide wide coverage of USA antiques. This shop is amazing on its offering, both from variety and prices: from typical Americana to WW2 militaria(Including German bayonets and helmets) to books, tools, everyday vintage objects such as corkscrew, record plates, railways spikes, and advertising objects… You name it. You can find quite expensive items as well as small items starting at 50¢ or 2 $. During my two last travel, I spend each time half a day looking around and discovering new stuff. Both owners were very friendly and helpful to point out flea market events that could be attended in a future visit. In short, highly recommended and don’t be filled by the size of the store front, you will find that shop depth is way bigger and for sure full of items and probably some treasures to be found.

Discovered this store by accident. It is a consignment store so prices can be a little high, but they have a lot of merchandise and a good assortment of items. Also, it is very clean compared to other antique stores(no smells) and people are friendly. They broke up a decanter and glass set for me(not interested in the glasses). You can spend a whole day here, there is so much to look at. If you are a mid century modern fan, you will love this store.

This antique shop is easily one of the best in the area. There are a vast array of items for collectibles to antiques. Even the sportsman will find a number of items for his«man cave». The prices are generally very reasonable and there is plenty to see. Not much in furniture or high end items. However, tons of «smalls». I go back a couple times a month as things do rotate and change. Always fun to look around. If your into anything like coins, military, brewer mania, ephemera, autographs, etc etc., this is the place!

Out of the Attic Antiques is awesome!!! I have visited many antique stores throughout the Chicagoland area and this by far is the best. The selection of Vintage Antiques and Collectibles are amazing and very well priced. I asked an employee for a specialty item that I collect and they brought me to several showcases that were well stocked. The staff is very knowledgeable about their merchandise and extremely friendly. This place is huge so take your time to browse there are fabulous items in every area. I cant wait to go back again!!!

This building is deceptively small looking from the outside. Once you step inside you’ll find an amazing assortment of anything you could ever be looking for. Great selection of kitchenware and plates, particularly a couple of great pyrex pieces. There are fur coats, war memorabilia, toys, movie memorabilia… You will not find this place lacking in any department. I was completely enthralled and took my sweet time. I was very pleased to see a spectacular collection of original Star Trek Christmas ornaments, that I left behind for a more fanatic Trekkie than I – but they were at a sweet price point and definitely worth checking out. Excellently organized so that you can see things as you walk on by, even though the space is so spectacularly large and well-filled. I have a strong feeling that I will need to revisit this place many more times, as I may have missed a few things, and since it’s just around the corner plus a skip and a jump from where I live.

The name is so totally appropriate. There are things in stock that you would probably only find in Grandma’s attic… if your grandma collects souvenirs, cookbooks, beer memorabilia and records! I kid! There is a huge range of art and collectibles to be found here, as well as the unusual knickknacks of days gone by. This antique shop actually has antiques.(Some shops just have junktiques.) After breakfast, I was taking another leisurely visit and trying to remember everything they have: vintage clothes and jewelry, glass bottles, board games, furniture, a VHS library, marbles, toys, spoon and plate collections… and did I mention lamps? I found 3 different leg lamps today. Really, if you are in the market for something unusual for a costume or gift, come, take a look around here. As mentioned the owners are quite helpful and know their stock well, even though the store is huge! Go when you have time to browse and take a friend to share the joy.
