Krypto’s Comix

Kypto comix is a small comic book store in the heart of downtown Aurora, IN. It currently offers a decent current issue selection, if you’re looking for variant issue from current releases this is not the place, but lacks in back issue stock. Most back issues are current books that just didn’t sell. Occasionally you will find a rare gem at a far price but they are few and far apart. The rest of the shop consist of random toys, magic the gathering cards and varies other items that make the store feel cluttered. The store itself reminds me of the old school 90’s shops that eventually all went out of business after the bubble popped. If you are a longtime collector you will understand the reference.
The biggest issue I have with the shop is the limited store hours. The store itself is only open thirty hours a week and is closed three days of the week. So if you are planning on making the trip out here I would suggest calling first, even on days they say they are open. I’ve stopped out before and found the store closed on days they were suppose to be open.
Overall if you have to make a trip to visit this store I would just pass, unless your bored. The store has the feel of someone who enjoys the hobby but doesn’t have the time or energy to make the shop great. They’re plenty of other comic shops within an hours drive that offer a much better selection and atmosphere.
