Kitchen Collection

As I strolled around the outlet mall, I spotted this store and eagerly walked in. I have previously visited the Gurnee mills outlet mall (also under Simons banner) that had a similar store titled «Corning, Corelle & more» THAT had fabulous items and I was mistaken to expect similarity here.
The place is a mess, there is no order to things. After browsing a little I approached the cashier (lonely employee). In simple words I asked her if they carried any insulated food containers such as Thermos brand or any other. Her response was very abrupt and stingy as if she didn’t want to talk to me. I then inquired if they had lid organizers, same response «We don’t carry any of that stuff» uhnmmm… can’t really figure out why she was so shrewd.
I thought I was better off searching for things on my own. Meanwhile her responses to other shoppers were just as stingy. No sorrys or thank you.
I located a bag of jumbo straws that would interest my toddler. I was also looking for a single brew coffee maker. They had a lot of Hamilton Beach but not the coffee maker I was looking for.
Another item I needed was, tumbler glasses. They had none.
Some interesting items I saw were grease saver, onion saver, long handle teaspoon, butter storage plastic and cream cheese storage plastic. You might find items you «like» but not items you need.
So no insulated lunch boxes, no lid organizer, no single brew coffee maker and no glasses. Top that with awful customer service, don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.

Horrible. Just horrible.
I have it 1 star because it had some good prices on some throwaway pieces (things like wooden spoons and spatulas and stuff like that).
If you want any information on anything don’t bother. I had a question on some of the silicone utensils at the store and found this woman who «worked» there and I asked my questions and she just gave me a «I don’t know» and literally walked away. She did had a heavy Eastern European accent so maybe she didn’t understand my questions which were pretty simple.
Really? Wow. I won’t be coming back here except for…
You come here if you need the following
1. Throwaway pieces at throwaway prices. For instance I purchased 8 pieces of bamboo spoons for $ 5.00
That is it.
Go to Bed Bath and Beyond if you want some service with your purchase because you will NOT find it here.

I always stop in this store when I come to Chicago Premium Outlets, but I’m beginning to wonder why. I think I purchased cookie sheets here in 2005. This store is always unkempt, cramped, and I haven’t seen any merchandise in a long, long while that is unique or seems like an outlet bargain. I say you’re better off spending your time and money at Bed Bath & Beyond.
