I would not recommend this shop. Although I generally support and encourage family run businesses never again will I stop here. The owner charged $ 24.00 for a CR2025 battery installation a Withings activie pop watch — he said it would take 15minutes and he was done in under 5 minutes — had I not asked for my tool back(which came with my watch) I’m not sure if he would have given it back. But for Withings advising me to have the battery replaced professionally I would have done so myself. Clearly a very easy job. At the rate charged, the store owner is making $ 240/hour plus $ 4.00 for the battery. Shame on him for taking advantage. His work was fine but he is price gouging.

Went to this place tonight to get a watch battery replaced, the estimate was $ 24. This replacement was for a watch that only cost $ 50. The clerk told me that it was a Swiss watch, and needed a special Swiss battery. So I asked what type of battery again? He said energizer. There’s nothing unique about that! At this point, this whole experience started seemed kind of fishy. So I then went to one of those watch dealer kiosks on the first floor at Fox Valley Mall. The clerk there told me that it was a Japanese watch, not a Swiss as quoted at the other place. He quoted a $ 12 battery replacement with one year warranty. I told him to move forward with it, he opened the watch up and discovered that the battery in there was at full voltage. He also informed me that the battery in there was a decent brand. He put the watch back together, gave it back to me, and informed me that the watch movement has failed. Zero charge at the watch kisok. This place sucks! My next review will be a five star review of the kiosk.

I had taken my other watches here before to get the batteries replaced. Now my Tokyoflash watches were dead. They should be pretty simple, and one had a replaced battery already when I lived elsewhere. The girl working quoted me $ 42 to replace 2 batteries and swap out the metal band on one. She had trouble doing math in her head. I had my own new band from the manufacturer with its own spring bars. Old band was too tight, scuffed, and I didn’t know where the spare links were. She said come back 30 minutes later. DISASTER. She told me both of my watches didn’t work, and wanted to have her manager or someone else look at it in the morning. 24 hours later, I called to have that person tell me the tech will look at it on Saturday to quote me what’s wrong with it because they still couldn’t get them to work. Whut?! NOPE. I contacted Tokyoflash and got some advice. Then I got my watches back. They lost my two springbars. How do you do that? Called me the next day to say they’re still lost. The metal band watch still had juice in my old battery. IT’S NOTWORKING? Try again. So, I was able to pry off the backs at home with a 1/16“x40mm flathead, and swap the batteries between the two watches. Now the other watch works. I think these guys need better employees and better battery stock. Prices are terrible too. The girl scratched up the back of one watch. These watches aren’t made anymore, so they’re priceless to me. I almost had her work on my nice Tonino Lamborghini watch. I’m glad that didn’t happen. I replaced the band, and took out a link on both sides. Perfect! Now to buy 2 batteries for $ 7. So, I’ll be looking around for watch repair tools. This can turn into a small hobby to replace batteries. I never thought about it, but no way this should be $ 20+ per watch to replace the battery. Amazon has CR2032 batteries for super cheap. I only went to them because they’re 2 minutes away, and I didn’t want to mess up any of my nice watches. Contact me or go somewhere else. You’ve been warned.

This is the last time I am going to this place. the young man was nice and did his job. But all I needed was to replace a battery in my watch and it cost me $ 30.00. My watch is only worth $ 100 at most. I brought my $ 1000.00 Michele watch to an authorized Fossil watch repair place and to replace the watch for that watch was also $ 30.00. I only came to this place because it was convenient. Not anymore.

GOSOMEWHEREELSE. The customer service is poor and the prices are high. You are best getting a price quote first or going somewhere else all together. My husband’s watch needed the minute hand repaired and battery replaced. My watch needed 2 links taken out of the band. I picked mine up 30 minutes and $ 35 later. They said they needed another hour for the other watch. We ended up leaving for the night. The next evening(24 hours later), my husband dropped by to pick up his watch. The lady at the counter tried to hand it back STILLBROKEN. When he pointed this out, she made a phone call and then said they«forgot». REALLY?! An apology or even a lie would have been better. We ended up picking up the watch 2 days later after calling to confirm it was ready. Prices as of March 2012: * Remove two links from the wristband = $ 35(OUCH!) * Battery Replacement = $ 20 * Fixing Minute Hand = $ 30

Extremely expensive to get a battery put in or even to get a watch sized. The young gentleman was very polite and helpful but I came in again and was helped by two older men who were sitting and talking. I needed my watch sized and wanted to learn how to set the time. When I returned after it was done all they wanted to do was sit back down and talk, they did not show me how to set it he just said he already did. Very disrespectful. Also charged me 24 dollars to take three links out. The result of their work is fine but the cost and half bad service is not.
