I ate here 2 years ago and it was great but now on Christmas we go there and all they have is lettuce fries and chicken, not really a buffet and definitely not worth 70 $ for 4 people

I don’t think people in aurora expect any kind of quality. Avoid this locations at all costs. They asked for a tip at the front desk when I paid to get in. I said no because I didn’t know what kind of service I was going to get yet. I went here cause it’s close. I wish I hadnt. This is the dirtiest place I’ve ever eaten. The dirtiest. Everything was empty on a Sunday night. The garbage food which included greens and chicken livers had been sitting under heat lamps for what I can only assume was hours from the look of it. My kids won’t eat that nonsense even if it were fresh. Even the ice cream machines were empty. The carpet hadn’t been cleaned in months and the ceilings were black around the vents. The roast beef and chicken were cold. Never saw a «waitress» to collect dishes or ask how we were doing. I wouldn’t bet against food poisoning. If people want to settle for this they’re foolish. My money was wasted. A bologna sandwich at home would have been more satisfying. I just can’t say enough good things. My five year old wouldn’t eat cause it was gross there. That a girl.

I usually eat at other Country Buffet locations and the food is great, like the one in North Field… This location is disgusting! The food is cold and really old. I tried the fish and it had a taste that it had been sitting there for a really long time… Also I had the feeling it was not properly washed because you could taste the juices that it is packed with… The waitresses take forever to sign your receipt and hardly come pick up your plates! The place was clean but the food was just not great!

Worst food ever. Disgusting and all the food were cold. We went in around 230 and I only saw one waitress. The food were over cooked the fried chicken were oily and over cooked and all the rice were so wet. I think the food mush have been there for like forever. Won’t come back to this one again.

Worst food at a cb I ever tasted. Over cooked! Over baked over fried. Sticky floors. On the bright side the staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish the food was as good as other CBs.

If we could give 0 stars we would! This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. We opted to try out Country Buffet because the Golden Corral we had planned to go to had a line out the door. Now we know why. Country Buffet charged us full dinner price at 1pm and failed to offer even minimal dishes. Even staples like buns and fresh fruit were missing. The dishes that were out were crusty and old, everything else was just burnt remnants stuck to the pans. After complaining the manager made excuses instead of owning the problem and asking how to solve it. We asked for a refund and left never to go back. Oh, and I forgot to mention… The employee smoking cigarettes out front should’ve been our first indicator of such a poorly run establishment.

Just terrible! All of the food was dried out, inedible and unappetizing. I’m not a big fan of buffets due to a personal experience that lead to food poisoning but I went at the request of my boyfriend and tried to have a positive attitude. However, the servers were constantly on their phones while servicing the buffet, the floors were dirty and booths sticky. For $ 31 I felt it was extremely over priced for the level of food quality and service you would expect at a dine in establishment.

very disappointed, you see the commercials, the quote, «we will make it right», you can’t even leave a review on the web site. I had gone several times, until a large women«stole» the steak from my sons plate,(he is 11) She did not want to wait, the manager tried to make it right, but that was in the past, so a few weeks ago I decided to give another chance. My son and I went again, a small line, but can be expected at 5:30pm. The problem is, no food, we would wait for the seasonal, advertised items, they would bring out a few at a time, the people would rush up, then nothing, long times between food being brought out. I asked the bus people and manager if anything could be done, after 45 min, we decided to leave, still hungry and disappointed, but at least we had no food to have it stolen again

Great service and good food. Haven’t been to a old country in years. Cause where I grew up and there was only 1 it was for the older crowd of the area. Anyhow this is real good and Nathalie was a great server and smiled the whole time we were there. Some dumb dude next to us complained to the manager about there plate being wet. Lol. Dumbass its old country not del frescos. Anyhow I encourage you to go here. Good food and good atmosphere.

I really don’t need a long review for this one. It’s horrible! Nobody serviced the buffet the entire time we were here. all the food was hard, old and bad. I will never be coming back. The health dept definitely needs to be alerted! There is potential for illness! The food is in the danger zones!

My husband and I have been seeing the commercials and were drawn in by the home cooking aspects, «just like mom’s». We usually dine out on Friday nights and chose Country Buffet on 2÷6÷15, arriving at 4:30 pm. First…Our experience started with an upset young lady behind the cash register as her shift was over and she was still helping newly arriving customers. This young lady even left us standing while she sought out the manager, who she found and both came back to the cash register where they had a discussion about the employee who was supposed to relieve her from her shift(while we are still standing there not being helped). Second…the dinner price for buffet did not come with drinks, an add on to the buffet price making the total dinner for two a little over $ 31.00, wow. expensive! Third…this particular location was short staffed; we know that because everyone from the carving station to the servers were complaining about this fact; specifically saying, «that the manager does not schedule correctly and they are always short handed». Fourth…food was not being turned out, mashed potatoes were empty and never refilled during our visit, nothing was warm and I do mean nothing! The yummy meals shown on the commercial, the few they had, cheesy hash browns, chicken pot pies and roast and veggies had been sitting their awhile, with no turn over, the food did not look appetizing at all. The dessert bar was out of both chocolate and vanilla ice cream(no one refilled it), no warm cookies, no Rice Krispy bars, refrigerators were not stocked with desserts at all, what was under the warmers(peach crisp and other stuff) had been there for quite sometime. And finally, the drink bar… the best part of the visit with the selections. I had an ICEE and some coffee. The coffee was wonderful! I will also put in a yummy vote for the Mexican food bar and the salad bar, I did enjoy those. However, there was nothing about this visit worth $ 31.00!

Been going to this location forever but decided to go in today and was totally disappointed. There was no fresh food or even hardly any food. Every single piece of silverware was dirty with dried food caked on them, The plates were the same way. It took about 15 min for them to even put cups out for us paying customers. And to top it all off one of the guys that was trying to put out food was being super unprofessional and hitting on me… I am extremely displeased and I don’t know if I will ever be returning to this location.

This has got to be the worst place I walked into in a very longtime. I didn’t expect such a place to even exist especially carrying a major well known Company name. I’m hoping this is not what Country Buffet has become and the other locations aren’t like the Aurora location. I happen to be on that side of town, being my boys live somewhat nearby and my little one absolutely LOVES buffets, unfortunately there aren’t many really awesome buffets in Aurora, as «Golden Coral» would definitely be my choice over«Country Buffet.» I grew up on Sunday buffets but I have come to really dislike buffets. I would rather spend the extra money and have a one dish selection. What was surprising to me was the set up and the cold food served in pots and pans. It was almost scary looking. Some of the stands had«no food» or little food on it. It looked really bad. I kept telling the party I was with to, «let’s go…» but they wanted to give them a try, a chance. When I asked the waitress if they were under construction, why did there buffet have such a small selection, and the food being cold… She apologized for the food being cold and explained to us how they were not under construction, that she was new and had just started and had indeed heard from other guests how that location«use to be.» That was the quickest we ever left a buffet. As fast as we entered, was as fast as we exited. Not fast enough. The waitress was sweet and did try to fix the problem with the food being cold. It was such an awkward weird atmosphere. We couldn’t help but to feel sorry for the waitress, as we know it wasn’t her fault. We did leave her a $ 6.00 tip that I hope she got. Funny, I have been getting a lot of email from Country Buffet for specials/discounts but unfortunately it’s at the same Sable location. I may just stop thru, just not anytime soon.

I would like to have a good meal at Country Buffet, but after several poor meals, even with a free meal coupon from the manager after one especially poor experience; I won’t be coming back until they improve the quality, serving sizes, and have reasonable quantities of favored selections actually available. The steaks are usually tough and flavorless. The lunch time offerings do not have any items at the carving stations. The lunch offerings usually include only meatloaf, fried chicken, pasta, and mexican taco type fillings. Their prices are very high considering what they offer. They recently offered a metal cup sized cup of what they called«pulled pork»; inside was two lonely fork-fulls of meat with rest of the contents(90%) potatoes. With their recent marketing blitz, they offer more but deliver much less, in spite of what their president says. There are better choice everywhere

I have gone here at least twice a month for over four years. The past four or five times it has continually turned for the worst. Cold food, empty food containers, no steak, ice cream machine broke, waitstaff introduced herself and never came back to take used dishes, price vs quality, hot sauce bottles empty I asked for a new one and by the time I saw the guy bring it out I was done eating. The last time I went was on Halloween, I got tricked and very little treats, I won’t be back!

This is people chow. No flavor, almost instant everything. This is only good for those who are very hungry and don’t care about taste. The only positive about this location, place is the staff, they were very kind and attentive.

My mother and I came in for lunch. She saw the new commercials. They have changed the islands and the way the serve the food. But the food is the same. And it’s expensive. 8.09 for lunch for seniors and 2.49 for drinks. I had water. They have the cute new POp machines. But we watch a young lady fill them up with ice and left the tops open while she went back for more ice. I don’t believe I will be back again

I am in Aurora on business and I am forced to eat out for every meal. So I thought I should do a few reviews while I am here. I haven’t heard of country buffet before therefore I am unbiased. Obviously at a buffet you pay first, so I’ll talk about price first. I was a little surprised when asked to pay almost sixteen dollars for dinner and a soda. In salt lake city I would have paid thirteen for the same. I thought for this price the food better be awesome. I noticed right away that they have tons of options and things were displayed in a non-conventional manner. Most of the food was in pots and pans rather than the traditional buffet pans. I thought this was a nice touch. I arrived at about seven in the evening, and was surprised to see only a few diners in the restaurant, but the food all looked and tasted fresh. So let’s get down to specifics. The ranch was homemade not bottled, awesome. The broccoli soup was obviously homemade because I could taste raw flour in it.(I have worked in restaurants for twenty years.) The fried chicken was crispy and delicious, moist and tender. Potato salad was tasty. Sirloin tips although they were overcooked for my taste preferences. Somehow they were delicious. The service was what I expect from a buffet nothing more. But the food was unbelievably good. I almost forgot how much it cost. Overall I enjoyed the experience. Maybe it’s because the options in my hometown are mediocre. Or maybe these guys are really great at what they do. Either way I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who eats food.

We recently moved to Aurora and being fans of the Arvada/Sheridan location, immediately wanted to check out our newly local Country Buffet. In the 4 weeks we’ve lived here, we’ve been here twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Why? Because we love the variety, the food is hot, fresh and delicious and we’ve found that this restaurant is far less busy so no waits for a table. The breakfast is everything you love without spending too much. They have a made-to-order omelet guy who my husband idolizes. He comes back with a giant, amazing omelet that’s worth the price of our meals alone but wait, there’s more. All the fresh, hot bacon you can stand, 4 different kinds of potatoes, 2 – 3 types of eggs plus waffles and french toast and several varieties of syrups. I could go on but you get the idea — something for everyone for a lot less than you’d pay at a regular restaurant. We haven’t encountered equipment issues with their drink machines or bad service. I don’t know what you expect at a place where you tip a few bucks but we had our plates cleared regularly by respectful, smiling servers and unlike the Sheridan location, the cashiers don’t treat us like we’re criminals when we order water.

I saw the new Old Country Buffet commercial on TV and thought I would give it a try again. It’s the same old stuff with some fake improvements. «Aurora Gathering Place» sign hangs in the back… looks like they are trying to get people to sing up for birthday parties and wedding receptions. Not very likely. They have a «Gameland» area for kids to play video games while the parents cram salty country fried steak down their gullets. They have a partership with«Anthony’s Pizza» now, but when I arrived, there was only 2 dried pieces. I asked for a new batch and got funny looks from 3 different people. When they did bring it out, the pizza tasted nothing like Anthony’s. I noticed that they don’t refill empty food trays unless you ask for them. The spaghetti remained the same the entire tire and so did the empty tray of «baked fish». The corn dogs and beans looked unappetizing as well. The fried chicken was salty and tasted like cleaning products were used near their preparation. The ravioli was watered down and the«made from scratch mashed potatoes» were very smooth, typically a result of a making box mashed potatoes. So to Anthony So and So, CEO of OCB. This Aurora location doesn’t get my vote. 8.29 for lunch and 2.29 for the all new and improved beverage bar is laughable.
