Aurora Skate Park

FUn park, nothing too big, but mellow and really fun. directions off of Unilocal were totally wrong, but the park is legit. Some pics are not this park though.

In my quest to show all of Colorado how much I suck at skateboarding, some of us ventured to the Aurora Skate Park (off of Iliff) on a nice Monday morning. Here were the results:
Goods: Mellow transitions, interesting setup and local rippers (there was a guy there doing kickflip backside lips and 360 flips to pivots, holy crap). Good park to learn/​re-​learn how to ride transitions and not feel like you’re going to bite it at all times. It’s near my office so now I can skate at lunch.
Bads: We went on a weekday in the morning and there were only 6 people there but it still felt crowded because the park is a bit small – I can’t imagine what it’s like on the weekends. Slick surface, especially on the tops of the transitions but not as slick as Denver’s park. Plus it’s a bit out of the way if you’re not from Aurora.
