Aurora Eye Care

We found this wonderful little gem thanks to Lin N. on Unilocal!The review we read was so stellar that my sister could not wait to go and check it out to find her new glasses. I have to say it was just as great as the review had claimed.
You walk in and you do not feel like you are in a Eye Doctors office but that you are in a boutique or salon. It’s beautiful! The Chandelier lighting and the trendy décor really sets the tone because this is not your ordinary Eye Glass Store. Aurora Eye Care really specializes in having frames that are unique and beautiful. They carry trendy designers such as Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors and Vera Wang as well as some designers from Canada I was not familiar with. It was not like you had only a small selection of the same frames and colors to choose from. We were so delighted that my sister went to book an appointment right away,
Because we lived an hour away and they had a cancellation, they offered to work my sister in that day and so we not only picked out her glasses but got her exam and had them ordered all in one day! It was awesome! The only bad part — having to wait two weeks for them to come in – and that was because we were just so excited to get them!
If you are looking for new glasses and do not want cookie cutter looking glasses — and you want a great doctor and service — take the drive to Aurora and check them out! It is worth it!

I just had the most amazing eye doctor visit ever at this place!
I needed my annual eye exam and new contacts and decided to try this new place when I was in town for the holidays. I arrived about 10 minutes early and filled out the paperwork — the first thing I noticed was how cool the lobby area was… felt like I was in a trendy boutique.
The exam itself was probably the most thorough I’ve ever had. The doctor was super friendly and actually seemed interested in me as a patient and asked several times if I had any questions or concerns. I am sensitive about my eyes, so I appreciated that he kept telling me what ‘tests’ we were going to do next and why. I think I got a really good exam and I felt comfortable sharing all my questions and concerns without the doctor getting annoyed.
I didn’t plan on getting glasses during this visit, but they had so many great pairs out on display that I did end up finding some really unique frames (Zig was the brand, I think? Must be completely new and out of the country bc I’d never seen anything like them).
Def recommend this place!
