My first ever in a Physical Therapy place. I chose Athletico because it was referred by my doctor and I chose this center as it was the closest to my place. I am glad I did. I find the staff to be very friendly. Never had to wait and always reached and left the place exactly at the planned time. Mark is the manager and is very knowledgeable and I definitely recommend him.

So I’ll go out on a limb here(get it?) and review while I’m still in physical therapy — at the risk that the therapist will show no mercy if I’m critical. I hadn’t tried Athletico before but have been impressed by the competence, kindness and professionalism of the staff. I’m used to the efforts medical offices, massage therapists, etc. go to to maintain client privacy so the en masse gym-like atmosphere of this large one-room strip mall storefront was a surprise. Apparently this is the trend in PT — you get to share your suffering with a bunch of other equally sorry folks. On the other hand there is a certain comfort in knowing you’re not alone. Misery loves company, I guess. Also, be prepared to have your therapist work with several people at once. They do this balancing act well; it’s just good to know. They could use a better seating/waiting area, but they don’t keep anyone waiting long. The reception desk is sometimes a bit chaotic, and the staff need to consistently make eye contact and greet people who come in. Other than that small quibble the experience has been very positive. The manager, Mark, is an excellent Certified Hand Therapist and I definitely recommend him. There is plenty of free parking in front of the location and it’s easy to find off Eola Road.
