Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion At Fitzsimons

I come here every 3 months for my checkups in the neurology department. I hate coming to hospitals, but I’ve always gotten into my appointments in a timely manner. However, with most appointments, I’ve wound up staying way longer than I’d planned for. I have been here for 6 hours before, when my appointment was only supposed to be an hour or two. The longest wait is the line to do my blood work, and of course it’s freezing down in the lab which makes the wait even more miserable. The people are fairly friendly, especially the Dr’s and nurses, but sometimes the people working the checkin/​checkout can be dismissive. I wanted a copy of my paperwork one time and the gentleman working the counter almost refused to do it because there was no one else working at the counter, when all he had to do was go through the door behind the counter to use the copy machine for two papers. I can understand protocol, but it seemed like he was just annoyed that I’d asked him to copy something. Regardless of the cranky desk man, UC Hospital is a top notch hospital and they are renowned for the amazing work that they do and for the outstanding care that they provide.
