Academy Roofing

I just had my roof done by Academy, and it was a really good experience. I interviewed quite a few roofing companies and was not impressed by their professionalism. They’d show up late (or not at all), fail to send me the quote, or not respond when I contacted them. Academy was very responsive. It did take them a while, they were probably 2 months behind when I called so I had to wait for a quote. But it turns out there was a reason for that, they do good work and are busy.
I had great communication with them from everyone I talked to along the way, from the scheduler to the sales guy, all of them followed up after the job was done to see if I was happy.
They were able to do the job in 2 days (could have been one but they ran out of shingles the first day), and did a great job on clean up. I was a little worried, cause it’s a very messy thing to have done, but they got just about everything picked up.
I’ve had a lot of work done to my house in the past year, and I was impressed by this company. I would definitely hire them again for a roofing project.

We used Academy Roofing to replace our roof and gutters this past fall. A friend recommended them. The whole process was organized and pleasant — the office staff kept us informed about the installation dates and the crew who did the work cleaned up the yard each day. We recently had a home inspection done and the inspector said it was one of the best roofs he has seen.
But even more impressive: After finding a problem in our attic a few days ago, I called Academy Roofing, wondering if the problem was related to the roof. Although the company was officially closed for the holidays, Jeff Lutke was on call. He immediately drove out to my house on his day off. He quickly determined that the problem was not related to the roof (later confirmed by others) but spent 45 minutes trying to figure out the source of the problem, as well as the fix. Wow — what customer service and a very nice person.
I highly recommend this company, as they were recommended to me.

We had Academy do our roof last year and they were great. They came out and gave us a real estimate and didn’t play the game of wanting to know how much the insurance would pay and then just adding the deductible. I’ll never tell if they charged less than the insurance gave us!
I like them because their employees work for an hourly wage, not piece work so they take the time to do it right and not just blow through it as fast as they can.
We did have one problem during the job, when they were unloading the big dumpster it hit our house and damaged the wall of the garage, they called and told me before I got home. I wasn’t upset, these things happen. They were absolutley great about fixing the wall and even had an engineer come out and give me a report showing it had been fixed properly. Can’t argue with that, they were great to work with.
