1 Man Job Done Handyman Services

This was a nightmare.
I hired Richard to install a door. We planned to meet on a Saturday; we set up a time and confirmed. He called on Saturday to apologize and say he couldn’t make it. Okay, no problem. We rescheduled for Sunday, but I let him know that I needed to be finished by 2 pm.
He was AN HOUR late, which meant that he did not finish the job. We agreed that he would come back ASAP and set up/​confirmed another meeting. He asked the day of to move it. We moved it.
Day of, I had to call him to find out where he was — he was late, he wouldn’t make it. This was the third time he had been late or canceled or moved me – I was becoming unhappy. I have a life that does not revolve around sitting at home waiting for the handyman to finish a job he couldn’t get done the first time. He assured me that he would be here, ready to go, whenever I could get him in.
Today, Saturday the 17^th, at 10 am. Confirmed it.
It is now 11am and, YET AGAIN, I had to call him to figure out what the hell was going on. Now it’s car trouble!
Never hire this guy. I have an unfinished door and a lot of wasted time.

Was in a bit of a bind so I was going to pay the $ 100 he quoted for a ten minute job (I already had the part for) if it could be completed that day. He then said no way he could do it today but first thing in the morning. 15 minutes before he was suppose to arrive he called and said he couldn’t make it, just leave the money with my renter and he will come sometime in the next couple days. I even let him know I had many other projects coming up and no show.
